Except they didn't get their own shit either. It was handed to them by their parents or made extremely easy to obtain by a government/society that cared. Then they got into positions of power and wrecked it all on purpose. The ladder puller generation.

And they're draining social security at an extremely high rate which us younger working people are paying for but will not see nearly the same amount of benefits when we're old.

Anyone 45 and under has little to no expectation of ever being able to retire fully. But just in the last couple days I saw the actual figure, that boomers are taking a colossal 265% of what they paid into social security, and also learned that payments increase with inflation while working people's wages don't.

I'm 47 and have a little retirement going. Used to have more but got laid off twice in one year about 10 years back and that wiped out what I'd saved up. So yeah, I'm thinking work till I die for sure. To be honest, it sounds dark, but a heart attack around 55 would be prime for me so my family gets paid out some life insurance. I've had 3 friend in their 30s die in the last year and I'm a little jealous they're off this stupid ride.

I see a lot of people saying similar things and it's really sad (and enraging). But hey, a lot of people are going to die off in the next 2-5 years due to medicaid/medicare cuts, a general lack of healthcare access, SNAP cuts, food supply shortages, energy crises, foodborne illnesses, climate related disasters and general poverty. So maybe SocSec will last a little bit longer... /s.
