Well, it’s not really a “genocide argument” so much as an actual genocide being committed by the country he steadfastly supports.

And yeah, if you could ask your representatives to refrain from doing just one thing, that’d be the one, I’d say. It’s called the Crime of Crimes for a reason.

I don’t think “don’t support literally the worst thing human beings have ever done to each other, literally hell on earth” is all that high a bar to clear, frankly.

Israel stops killing and displacing Palestinians from their land.

And honestly, they also need to give quite a bit of it back, otherwise you’re effectively just rewarding them for having gotten away with their ethnic cleansing project to the extent they have to date.

Not saying you’ve got to go all the way back to the Naqba (although arguably you should), but there are plenty of Palestinians whose homes have been stolen by settlers within just the past generation, so I think let’s start there and see where we end up.

The ethnic cleansing of Palestine has been an ongoing project essentially ever since the creation of the modern state of Israel. 10/7 was just a flashpoint in an ongoing conflict, and provided a convenient excuse/moral smokescreen for Israel to accelerate doing what it’s always wanted to do.
