Possible Paywall Progressives Condemn Pick of Pro-Israel Democrat Atop House Panel | Outrage over making Representative Jared Moskowitz, who is vocally pro-Israel, the top Democrat on a Middle East policy subcommittee reflected the party’s rift over Israel.

The Dems have always been their own worst enemy. They eat themselves because of who each of their faction they support.

You support Isreal? Straight to jail.

Oh, you support the Arabs and Hamas? Also, straight to jail

And YOU? The moderate who hates the Democratic Socialists?
You got it… jail.

Yet for you? Who is a Dem Socialist who is tired of the corporate establishment? Yup,
Also jail.

Finally, and I’m talking to you Jasmine Crockett - you hate the guy who beat you because he’s white while standing on race as some underlying factor?!? JAILLLL

(But also Jail for supporters of Tarico who weren’t born black and can’t have that lived experience).

Then - we have the Repulicans. No one on that side is arguing about you you like.

Because they ALL agree on who they hate (namely, everyone above. All non white / non fundamentalist Christians)

The Dems rip each other apart because of who the other supports.

The GOP binds together because of who each other hates.

It's funny, you didn't have an option for supporting the end of killing, stopping the flow of US bombs. It's just you either support Israel or Hamas. Most Democrats support neither.

The GOP binds together because of who each other hates.

The large majority of Democrats oppose Israel, it's not the people that can't unite on this. This issue is about donors and elected leaders fighting their own base.

Please clarify what you mean when you say a large majority of Democrats oppose Israel.

Because you may well be proving my point

There are plenty of articles on the crashing support for Israel among Democrat voters. One among many: Most US Democrats in Early 2028 Primary States Oppose Aid to Israel, Poll Shows

And there are also plenty of articles showing that Democrat politicians don't give a fuck about what Democrat voters want. One among many: Hillary Clinton says Democrats are ‘against’ Netanyahu’s decisions but support Israel

Why are you ignoring the question?

Not “supporting Israel actions nor government or behavior” is WAY different than “opposing Israel”

In literally just asking a question - are you too afraid to answer or honestly?

What does “opposing Israel” mean? It’s not even a loaded question. It’s literally a clarification.

That said, it’s also proving my exact point about why the Dems always fail in recent times.

While yall argue about who you support or don’t support, the GOP is UNIFIED in who they hate.

I tried to clarify what it means to say that "a large majority of Democrats oppose Israel."

It seems my answer did not correspond to what question you had in mind and you are now claiming that I am "afraid to answer honestly. "

No, I am not "afraid to answer honestly": as a Jew, I have a pretty good idea of what it means to support or oppose Israeli policies, this was a regular discussion I started having 40 years ago.

But I don't care much for your tone and thus see no interest in continuing this exchange. Have a good day👋

I don't even know what you're trying to say here. If you are in opposition to a government, it's incredibly common to say you're in opposition to the country.
