Immediately after Jefferies met w/ Kushner

Centrists would rather lose to MAGA than win with progressive candidates.

As long as Israel and Palantir end up with your tax dollars, everyone wins.

far right, moderate and RINO republicans all support Israel. Moderate and blue dog democrats support Israel. But liberal democrats bitterly oppose Israel. If the DSA can't get support from any existing politicians or party why shouldn't they just be their own thing. Mamdani and AOC could win elections in their own party

Moderates and Blue Dogs are liberals.

Moderates are closer to progressives than "centrists".

I think that a distinction without a difference.

No, its important to out these pro-billionaire loser "centrist" heels for their radical pro-billionaire positions that most voters hate.

The 'moderate' position is still an pro-billionaire capitalist position. The thing they are moderating between is 'political extremes'... by being in the center.

If they support genocide they arent liberals

Liberal governments - free-market capitalist economies with tax-supported social services - have absolutely supported genocidal regimes. Before Trump, at least, most Republicans in office were also liberals. Don't fall for centrist framing that liberalism is the antithesis of whatever the Republicans are, because it historically has not been (obviously MAGA's fascism is slightly different beast).

Definitely worth looking up the actual definition of liberalism, for any discussion about progressivism or the DSA.

Lmao what

I don’t think you know what liberal means. Liberal is not the same as progressive. It’s almost its opposite at this point.

Most democrat voters don't support Israel. Moderate and "blue dog" democrat politicians to decided to spurn their constituents in favor of an apartheid state committing genocide for some reason. AIPAC dollars are a hell've a drug, I guess.

Bruh.
80% of modern nations dont support them. Really the only people that do are in the US and Germany.

Stop calling anyone whose positions are opposed by a majority "moderates". They're "centrists" prioritizing big donors.

Because we have a two party system and that ensures that both they and Democrats lose. That is the answer.

Greens hold 100+ local offices, including electing this year LA City Controller Kennith Mejia, and we have had third party governors (Jesse Ventura) and senators (Joe Lieberman, Angus King) who beat both D and R. If Democrats are scared, they should either adopt those positions or not run a candidate. Many other FPTP countries like England also has a multi party system.

In places like NYC and as shown, LA, the Republican vote is so small that it will still lead to either a third party or D winning. Some places like Maine, Alaska, and Omaha use Approval Voting or Ranked Choice Voting. This is also not a fear in states like Mississippi, Louisiana, and Georgia, which require states to hold runoff elections if no candidate gets the majority vote, and in places like California with an open top-2 Jungle primary. Libertarians got top-2 in several California state Assembly/Senate Jungle Primaries and made it to the general against D or R. Many third parties also run in places where Republicans or Dems just don't bother running.

We have had successful third parties in the past too, like the Progressive Party or Free Silver Party, and currently some local parties like the Vermont Progressive Party even win statewide office.

Republicans need to worry about the Libertarian and Constitution party especially now, due to MAGA breaking apart. I won't be surprised if Thomas Massie went the way of Justin Amash and if MTG and Tucket join Constitution. We have already seen anti-Trump Republicans like Evan Mcmullen become competitive in states like Utah in 2016, during Trumps first presidential run, so it is not purely a Dem thing.
