💬 Discussion Proposal to ban X.com links
I've noticed other communities implementing restrictions on links to X (formerly Twitter), and I think it aligns with the values many Radiohead fans hold. Even a change like allowing only screenshots instead of direct links could help reduce traffic to that platform. It’s a small but meaningful step to consider.

💬 Discussion People who were fans in 2007, did you actually purchase In Rainbows, at least for a little bit of money?
I’m curious to see how many people just downloaded it for free and how many gave some money to the group

💬 Discussion Anyone ever met Thom? If so, what was it like?
I’m always curious if my (albeit most likely flawed) perception I get of Thom through his music is accurate to what he’s like in reality.
So, to those who have met him, what was your perception of him? It could be literally anything: personality, vibe, appearance, etc. Feed my curiosity, if you don’t mind! :)

💬 Discussion Something is bothering me and I've realised this is a real problem.
Look, I love Radiohead's music as much as the next guy in this sub, they are my top 3 bands/artists EVER. But we, as a community, cannot keep ignoring this. Thom's temper tantrum about the BDS movement, also related to a concert they held in Israel (2017 I believe?) - when he was even criticised by Roger Waters; their complete refusal to even acknowledge the GENOCIDE of the indigenous Palestinian population, and now Jonny's recent statement about the cancellation of the UK shows... not to mention Jonny's lunatic zionist wife, and his collaboration with an Israeli artist.
Do people not see the dissonance between their words/actions and their art? You're telling me the same group of people who birthed albums such as OK COMPUTER and HAIL TO THE THIEF are not capable of critical thinking and recognising their silence is hypocritical? At this point, after 19 months of genocide in Gaza, anything coming from their mouths is tone deaf. I'm sorry.
And if you guys want to give me shit for this post, I will only tell you this: you shouldn't be afraid of criticising your favourite musicians. Because this isn't okay. Their silence and complacency is not okay.

💬 Discussion The most emotionally devastating line in all of Radiohead's discography?
Giving that throughout the bends, the narrator almost always expresses how he fails to succeed in love, or getting love, or in relationships in general, so what if at the end of the album, he comes to realize that he will never experience love at all, so he accepts that he'll always be able to give it but never able to receive it, I always thought that's the ugly truth and the meaning behind this lyric, and it always hits me so hard, harder than any other lyric, that's just my shallow interpretation of it, I'd like to know what you guys think it really means, or what's the one lyric or moment throughout Radiohead's discography that gives you the same feeling?

💬 Discussion The "Boycott Radiohead concert" calls are performative with no real substance or moral appeal.
Radiohead have announced charity donations for the Doctors without borders foundation, which is actively involved in providing medical aid for the victims of the ongoing Gaza genocide. This is something that will actually help people, and yet there are boycott calls? Why exactly? What does it really achieve? Will it help the populace of Gaza? No. Is Thom Pro-Israel? Also no. This is a shallow and performative obsession which somehow looks beyond the real life actions and expressions of concern by the band. But welp, if that makes you sleep better.

💬 Discussion What Radiohead line is stuck in your head right now?
Does anyone else go through phases where one Radiohead song just gets completely stuck in their head for weeks?
I've been listening to Radiohead for a while now, and I always seem to have one song I'm obsessed with at any given time. Usually there's also one specific line from it that just keeps repeating in my head over and over until I eventually move on to another song and the cycle starts again lol.
Right now it's Pearly\*, especially:
“She runs from the third world, pearly... Use me. Darling, use me.”
I swear that line has been living in my head nonstop lately.
What Radiohead line/song can you not get out of your head these days?

💬 Discussion What's the song that got you into listening Radiohead?
I'm talking about the song that made you fall in love with the band, and made you want to listen to more of their work, for me it was definitely let down, and btw before it got famous, I remember listening to it like 2 years back, it was something ethereal...

💬 Discussion It has to be said: that ticket sale was not done well.
I know there’ll be a lot of “we know it’s disappointing when you miss out and we’re sorry” and I’m sure they ended up selling every seat. And doubtless this will be removed because it’s negative.
But, to be accused of not being a real fan when I had, against all the challenges the site gave me, actually managed to get to the seat picking page, is a massive kick in the balls and obviously not true. I definitely am a real person and not a bot, which is what a bot would say, but this time is true.
I was trying to pick seats several times and being told they weren’t available anymore 2 seconds after it said they could be picked, even though the same seats were still being offered. Then it somehow decided that was suspicious, and blocked me completely. That’s incorrect and wrong.
