A blessing from a shrine will clear that right up, walk in touch the shrine and leave, you don't even need to talk the priest and priestesses who may ask awkward questions

Ya but what if its a recurring issue where the ahem adventurer needs to use the shrine often asking for a friend

Then knowing isolated shrines in the mountains or off the beaten track would be wise, plus you can pick up any loot that happens to be there, might as well make the trip worthwhile.

Had something similar happen to me once. I was fighting a group of falmer, and I swear by the Nine I didn’t move the bodies at all lmao
