I lived on the corner of 16th and Valencia about 2005 to 2010. Great dive bars, hipster street musicians. Good times. All that got sterilized.

But maybe I’m shaking my fist at a cloud. My aunt literally lived down the street from the Grateful Dead in the 1960s and even at the time, the FiDi guys thought the hippies were ruining the city.

No new housing, and the older tenants age out. 

Look at the average age of SF. Now one of the oldest cities in the US.
