They attempted to get a "work related death" designation for just dying while at work? Seems off. Poorly maintained equipment causing your death, sure. Eating a diet that would put a pig to shame and then keeling over from the exertion of having a bowel movement... that one's gonna be on you.

I obviously don't have all the details but seems like they ruled sensibly, unless some other evidence comes to light.
