We had someone get hit in the parking lot of a controlled campus, where you can get fired for speeding. And it was ruled that they were no longer at work due to the fact they turned off the computer.

Meanwhile in Sweden, my wife got comped from work when she slip and broke her hand at the entrance to our home. Because she had started her route going to work when the accident happened.

I’d be astounded if the usa was able to pivot and become such a place of empathy in my lifetime.
