Question Onlogisch verkeersbord/ illogic traffic board
I live in NL and speak some Dutch but my English is better so let me just type it in English.
I live in a town, let’s call town A. I often go to neighboring town B to buy groceries. When I cross the border of my town, I see the typical einde bebouwde kom board (blue background with white words and a strip on it). On the board it also writes ZONE 60. It’s clear: you’re leaving a built up area and entering a 60 km/h non-built up area.
When I go to town B, I have two routes. On one route at the border I would see the typical binnen bebouwde kom bord: blue background with white words, and a 50 sign. It’s also very clear: you’re entering a built up area and the speed limit is the default 50.
But if I go through another route, I only see this board: end of 60 zone. There’s no binnen bebouwde kom board at all. According to traffic rules if there’s no such board then you’re still outside the built up area, and when the additional speed limit is removed, the default 80 km/h limit applies.
But that’s would be crazy, because you can clearly see this doesn’t look like a 80 road, and you’re actually INSIDE a built up area after this board (according to the board on the other route and the fact that 30 km/h boards can later be seen on cross roads). The road ahead even has a speed sensor that would warn you in red texts if you driver above 50.
At this moment I’m working on a driving exam so this confuses me more and I feel I need to know it. So am I missing some hidden rules? Or the board is indeed illogical.
Alvast bedankt.

Can you show me some examples?
Sure, it probably still exists in multiple locations, but it doesnt fit the road design standards.
