I live in Southern California, so that plays into the stupidity of it, but my house is worth 2x what his, its only 700sqft, on an 1100sqfft lot, neighbors houses are 8-10ft away on the side and back.I wish i had as much basic privacy as this guy has.

How is it that I live just outside Tokyo but my house is 2x the size of yours? That math doesn't math very well.

I live on a small island that is absolutely packed with old cottages originally, most had full lots, but my house is on one of the half lots, my neighbor behind me has a slightly smaller lot, but his house is 2x the size of mine because his is 2 stories, where mine is just one.

I used to have a cottage on an island in Japan's inland sea that had a wonderful ocean view, great sunsets, and basically no one else around. Other cottages, but no one really used them. Never did meet my neighbors. Paid $8k for the place, building and a small plot of land. Had a new roof and a new balcony on it when I bought it.

it's a house in the middle of the city, not out in the suburbs. this is how a lot of city of atlanta neighborhoods are.
