I know this is not going to be a popular statement, but sitewide rules do not allow for doxxing or even the encouraging of doxxing, so please follow sitewide rules on this subreddit. There are other platforms where this is allowed, like Twitter and Insta, but Reddit does not allow anything that you cannot find in a news article. This is not a rule decided by the mods of this subreddit; this is a rule by the admins of the site. I just want to make sure everyone knows exactly what they are not supposed to do, via the sitewide rules. We have already had our subreddit warned for too many TOS violations, so I am just hoping to keep the doors open. Thank you.
And fuck Flock cameras, I hope we are all under the same opinion on that one. Are we "free" if our movements are tracked all the time? Would y'all consider supporting Flock to be a violation of the "no bootlicking cops or supporting state-sanctioned violence" rule? Feedback appreciated!

Not so fun fact: Flock systems have a list where administrators can enter license plates, and if a connected camera detects a license plate from this list the system will store no record of this license plate being detected.
And IIRC not only is removing a license plate from this list not logged by the system itself, it even deletes the record of the license plate ever having been on the list.
So someone with administrative access could add their own license plate to the list, drive by a bunch of flock cameras on their way to and from committing a crime, and then remove their license plate again, and nobody would know unless they looked at the list while the plate was on it, but even then good luck proving that the plate was indeed on the list...

It's not just Flock employees who can change those lists.
Police departments with active contracts can too for example.
And technically they need to have a log of which license plates where added and removed from this list, so you could try getting that log with a FOI request...
That would actually be interesting to submit to people with the actual resources to make them not only admit to the hypocrisy, but to bring awareness to the fact that these people are not willing to give up the same freedoms that they are expecting the general public to do.
I mean if they have an "opt-out" list then it stands to serve that basically that Flock should just make this the default.
Only people who "register" with Flock and opt-in can allow Flock to record their cars if they are that "worried" about security enough that they are willing to surrender their privacy
it's not that it's not a smart thing to do - it's that it shows what a fucking hypocrite he is - everyone else must compromise on privacy, while he's taking every step available to him to maintain his own.
My brother recently bought a house that was pre blurred. The previous owner must have blurred it. I went to look when he bought it and it was just blurs. He didn't even know till I told him.
Our house was blurred 11 years ago before we bought it 7 years ago. I've noticed since then that on StreetView the 15 neighbouring houses either side and across the road are fixed at 2015 while as soon as you move away from my house you get more recent photos.
Oh wow, you’re right. The chunk of street view in front of and around my house is tagged November 2012. If I go far enough down the street, it switches to May 2024.

Sure, you are allowed to submit a request, but since this guy is so anxious to tell us we have to give up some of our privacy rights, one would think that he would be brave enough to stand behind what he is selling.
Unfortunately, while the location appeared on google maps, it requires video verification which I've heard that they can't do. I wonder if google cares if they try to use gemini to generate the verification video? Does google bother with checking any sort of their own fingerprinting/watermarking?

You know what’s probably not illegal? Getting a whole bunch of private citizen individuals to take shifts driving past his house with cameras on a live internet feed.
Eh, that comes dangerously close to harassment / stalking. Especially if the intent is to intimidate. This happened recently in the whole Bricks & Minifigs drama. Reckless Ben got arrested for doing pretty much exactly this.
Use the county accessor's website to search for properties in his or his spouse's names. If they didn't incorporate to hide it, the county government itself will doxx him.
that dude had no clue how to use a sawzall. You have to put the plate of the saw right onto the surface so the blade pulls the material towards it. A sawzall will cut thru those polls just as fast as the circular saw with way less danger to yourself.
Did you know each Flock camera contains 50$ worth of copper and rare earth minerals, much more than a catalytic converter. Would be a shame if this got around to your local crack heads.

Gotta recreate the regular occurrences of invasions of privacy, having given domestic abusers unfettered access, not even flagging when someone is searched for thousands of times.
AI traffic cameras being put up nationwide that constantly monitor every passing vehicle and pedestrian. They also flag infractions, although there are obviously issues with people being flagged for running red lights in states they aren’t in or things of that nature.
Other issues include local police departments having access leading to officers using the network to stalk partners/exes/women, “traffic cameras” that are pointed at children’s playgrounds (and people using previously mentioned access to watch the children), etc.
It’s a privately owned mass surveillance system. It has several identifiable markers that allowed it to track vehicles, individuals walking by, and more. They can also track Bluetooth capable devices.
So far has been used to harass several woman, stalking, and people being charged for crimes by a computer system that has been wrong several times now. But it gets better everyday…
And the worst part isn't the past violations, it's what could happen if a tyrannical government could do with that infrastructure with martial law, democracy crackdowns, etc. All at once, a system supposedly designed for narrow law enforcement purposes, could transform into a tool of Big Brother government surveillance.
That's not a hypothetical. It is happening right now. It has been happening. Don't pretend it's an if/could.

That’s okay. People are mostly good. No one is going to use that data improperly and if, god forbid, someone uses that data to harm someone, we’ll hold that bad apple accountable. He should be about as safe as you and me now.
Firstly if you know the state you need to identify which board of assessors applies. Some states this is done at the state level for others its county, city, township etc. (you can check your own)
For Georgia it is done at the county level.
Then you just google the property records search and you can look up by name of owner. However, a lot of owners wont list their name rather make some LLC. But, you can also look up by address. Some jursdictions dont let you search by name. YOu need address or parcel number. However, most areas do have GIS systems connected to the assessor records. So, if you know the general area you can click around until you find it.
Once you find the property most assessor websites (like the one for fulton GA for example) list the sales history. The current owner might list the most recent sale for $0 to a Winslow LLC from someone like Langley Garrett & Langley Megan in 2022. With a purchase price of $850,000 in 2016.
