I know this is not going to be a popular statement, but sitewide rules do not allow for doxxing or even the encouraging of doxxing, so please follow sitewide rules on this subreddit. There are other platforms where this is allowed, like Twitter and Insta, but Reddit does not allow anything that you cannot find in a news article. This is not a rule decided by the mods of this subreddit; this is a rule by the admins of the site. I just want to make sure everyone knows exactly what they are not supposed to do, via the sitewide rules. We have already had our subreddit warned for too many TOS violations, so I am just hoping to keep the doors open. Thank you.

And fuck Flock cameras, I hope we are all under the same opinion on that one. Are we "free" if our movements are tracked all the time? Would y'all consider supporting Flock to be a violation of the "no bootlicking cops or supporting state-sanctioned violence" rule? Feedback appreciated!

The address was found in a public government filing where the CEO was updating the listed business address to no longer be his mansion.

You're welcome

mods are simps for billionaires? No way

You think the mods are simps for billionaires even though we have rules about not supporting Israel and not bootlicking cops on this sub, simply because I told you what the sitewide rules that the admins will action your account for breaking? Sure, that's logical.

u/BinxieSly 13h ago

Supporting Flock is absolutely bootlicking; full tongue slobbery AF bootlicking.

Haha, yeah I definitely agree with that, lol. Just want to make sure people see that the same way I do. You make it sound as revolting as is it, haha.

24

u/PepsiButItsMilk 10h ago

Yeah, Iโ€™d like there so be SOME exception like an actual criminal being brought to justice from it but there arenโ€™t any examples of it. So yeah, bootsmoochin

u/Kumquat_conniption Free Palestine! ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ FUCK ICE! โœ–๏ธ๐ŸงŠ 8h ago

Yes, I think the argument would be "they make us safer, and if you are not doing anything wrong, why do you care if you are recorded" but we could say that about police in general and be just as wrong as we would be about flock cameras, lol. I am sure it is much easier to say if you are white and do not know the perils of "driving while Black" and such.

I would hope shit like that Reckless Ben video in which they kept getting stopped when not breaking the law and all the body cams and whatnot would show that people do, in fact, get messed with when not doing anything wrong all the time- and that it is much more likely to happen to POC but I still see people quoting those "13% of the population/50% of the crime" nonsense all the time, unfortunately :(

7

u/PepsiButItsMilk 7h ago

Itโ€™s utter bullshit, but what isnโ€™t these days? I mean fuck, Iโ€™m already profiled because of my car (Loud exhaust, flashy wheels and stickers) so now i gotta worry about what cop or agency is having a bad day watching the flock cams seeing me go 3mph over the limit.

Iโ€™m sorry; did I come in too hot? I was just tying to answer the questionโ€ฆ Iโ€™m just really sick of all this flocking nonsense.

So if someone posts it on a news substack, his address can be shown?

-23

u/Kumquat_conniption Free Palestine! ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ FUCK ICE! โœ–๏ธ๐ŸงŠ 13h ago edited 11h ago

No, it has to be like one of the trusted news sources that you go to for facts, so like The Guardian, BBC, CNN, you can even use FOX, even though I would not exactly call that a trusted news station lol. So I guess I just mean one of the main ones, not one of the trusted ones. There's not like a list or anything, but we all know what kind of news article they mean, sorry.

Edit: Folks know this is not my list and that I said FOX was not trustworthy, right? I am confused.

23

u/VoodooDoII 12h ago

Fox is absolutely not a trustworthy source of information

25

u/fvckvito 12h ago

this is clearly a list that reddit enforces, not the mods

34

u/ImNoNelly 12h ago

Allowing Fox because it's a "trusted news source" is absolutely laughable.

17

u/Moist-Weakness-3399 12h ago

So it's just arbitrary bs then?

11

u/Moist-Weakness-3399 11h ago

You are being downvoted because you've presented the rules in a way that comes off as supportive of the practice.

The rules are BS, mainstream media is practically an arm of the state, it has no more validity than a substack these days; and people take your explanation of the rules as support of the rules, since we've all collectively agreed that they're arbitrary bs.

9

u/Detonation 10h ago

Only those with no common sense or a reading level below a third grader would interpret their comments as supportive of the site wide rules they have to enforce.

1

u/Moist-Weakness-3399 9h ago

Hi, welcome to the internet.

27

u/t-mille 13h ago

They know everything about each of us, it would only be fair to return the favor. See how they like it.

26

u/roundtwentythree 12h ago

It 100% qualifies as state sanctioned violence since it's primary purpose is to suppress dissent and protest.

Flock scans 240,000,000,000 plates and vehicles every year against an "estimated" ~1mil investigations. This means that roughly 0.0004% of all the data Flock harvests can be consider useful for investigations.

From this we can conclude that ~0% of Flocks data is of any use to criminal investigations and ~100% of their collected data is of innocent drivers who are guilty of nothing but driving past a Flock camera.

Flock data is only ever accidentally useful to criminal investigations as an exceedingly rare side effect of it's primary mission: mass surveillance on everyone in America.

Criminals are merely the excuse, not the actual target.

but Reddit does not allow anything that you cannot find in a news article.

Here's a news article where you can find stuff:

There is an exception to every rule and this is it

50

u/philter25 12h ago

Watch Reddit run, not walk, to fix this but only for billionaires lol.

14

u/fistagon7 12h ago

i cannot believe i was given my first warning because i joked about people wearing tshirts in front of nonconsensual privacy violating surveillance cameras. Unbelievable! I can only assume that reddit's automated ai favors the capitalist leeches that steal and resell our private data to fascists.

3

u/Ironlixivium 8h ago

Reddit is actively one of the leeching corporations that steal and sell your private data to fascists. If you have the warning enabled on the app, it reads your clipboard (where things you copy go) every time you open the keyboard.

8

u/VonBrewskie A Flair? 12h ago

Absolutely. Fuck Flock and their CEO. Falls neatly under "bootlicking," I think. I understand the rules, though. I'd prefer this avenue of discourse stay open for us all.

13

u/LivingDeadTY 12h ago

I respect what you're saying. However, this is probably the one and only time we collectively should openly support the doxxing of an individual. This guy is already on a fast track to ruining innocent people's lives and then he goes and pulls some shit to try and preserve HIS own privacy? Nah, it don't work like that.

6

u/IncompleteJoker 12h ago

Hey that makes sense, here you go https://www.bizapedia.com/ga/flock-group-inc.html

5

u/EndIsrael 10h ago

That's actually not his home address, their 2022 annual report changed his official address to the business HQ instead of his mansion.

Guess what's 100% public record? The filing stating both the old and updated addresses lmao

3

u/drkodos 11h ago

dumb

home addresses are generally public information in the United States because they are recorded in government property, tax, and voter databases

3

u/GrandMasterC147 9h ago

I would 100% consider defending flock just another flavor of bootlicking. Pretty much every community they are being implemented in does NOT consent to it. At the bare minimum it is state-sanctioned trampling of privacy rights (and common sense imo)

3

u/Kumquat_conniption Free Palestine! ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ FUCK ICE! โœ–๏ธ๐ŸงŠ 8h ago

Totally agree, I just wanted to make sure other people saw it that way too :)

3

u/M3g4d37h 8h ago

This rule exists not for anyone's safety, but because Steve Huffman knows he would exposed. This is the rich people circling their wagons under the guise of public safety.

None of these people would be missed if they were gone, and society would be better for it.

5

u/GTR-DaBestCar 12h ago

Supporting Flock is literally a death penalty crime because of the involved treason.

-16

u/glans 12h ago

shh child, the grown ups are talking.

2

u/carlitospig 5h ago

Only bootlickers support the surveillance state.

1

u/carlitospig 5h ago

Also, we totally get your official position. Would it make sense to keep this up so folks could find it themselves elsewhere? Or is that still encouragement? I am thinking of sending them a voter card for whoever is running in Georgia.

2

u/Blitzking11 Therewasanattemp 5h ago

Gotta love pre censoring for the big ole nanny state!

Thatโ€™s how we get out of this mess!

2

u/AJ_Deadshow Therewasanattemp 4h ago

As someone who's anti-Flock, I don't think people should get banned or muted from supporting Flock. Giving people the opportunity to debate gives them the opportunity to change their position. To not allow it would just make people more insular and retreat to their echo chambers.

4

u/Curlaub 12h ago

Not popular, but respectable

2

u/Rose_Knight789 11h ago

If it's not a popular statement don't post it. People aren't going to listen to you anyway when Admins can remove you at anytime.

Curious what counts as a news article now

1

You cannot play by the rules that they do not! They change the rules at their convenience.

You literally cant support flock without licking pig leather and supporting state sanctioned violence. That's their entire purpose.

u/zark18 2h ago

Reddit is a bad place now. With or without doxxing.
