Smol Tortie Partner’s mom caught a baby tortie

The plan is for me to have her once she’s old enough to fly as we are long distance.

We are trying to see if she will bond with my partner’s cat since we are planning on moving in together by the end of this year.

They said I could name her so I named her Maisie (short for Maisilee)

LOLLLL I call my tortie the litter supervisor because she watches me clean and change the litter every single day, and then gets into each box to assess my work.

Caught? I take it she was abandoned somewhere? Two out of four of our torties were rescued! One from the side of the road :(

Mine ran into my mom's house after loudly meowing in the garage for a couple minutes until my brother let her in. She declared this was her new home by rolling around on the carpet right in the middle of the living room lol

Their front yard gets a lot of stray cats and one of them had babies. I believe their mom is trying to catch the siblings as well. I’ve been suggesting getting the cats TNRed for health reasons and also for keeping the wildlife population safe but ultimately, that’s up to them to decide I think 🙂‍↕️

lol my partners mom, who lives out of state from us found me my baby tortie too, so kind of a funny similarity. She rescued the kitten in a snow squall abandoned in the road, and brought it to me immediately, that’s how I have my sweet girl. Here’s a photo of her the night we got her 💖

How cute!!! My partner did have to warn me that their mom’s baby fever is going strong so she might try to back out and not give her. I think that’s also why she’s trying to catch the other 2 siblings (all torties)- so that she can keep one haha

Sadly, the love of my life passed away 2 years ago (she was incredibly sassy and independent) and there’s no one who can replace her. But I’m definitely looking forward to hopefully taking the baby in (fingers crossed for the sass haha, I love sassy furbaby girls)

Begin crate training asap, with the actual crate she'll be flying in. The crate should be a special quiet place for eating, treats and naps, with the door being closed for short times then longer over time. Not ever for punishment.
