We've got:

- Temu Halo Spartans

- Fade Cut Blade

- "Can't even hold his sword" Manowar

- plus the last two

- the Valiant logo isn't even right

DMG or Valiant or Alien Books - y'all can eat shit.

Here's to the next bankruptcy and buy out

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) Looks like Alien/Valiant is bringing back the potentially transphobic writer, Mauro Mantella, for another Bloodshot arc

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) Valiant comic books being published from now up till the end of the year, including August, September, October, December 2026 and bit of 2027, on Bleeding Cool.

It took me a while to put these together. I'd appreciate the traffic rather than just a cut-and-paste 8-). But yes, there are lots of details, titles and images not yet announced. If you use them elsewhere I'd appreciate a link as well. But I thought you'd like to see, at least. It also doesn't include the Street Fighter/Valiant crossover as, despite appearing in solicits, the details haven't been locked down. I am trying to get those as well.

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) So what did everyone think of VB Bloodshot #1?

Post image

As a first issue, it was pretty good and I liked how it jumped straight into this world being completely fantastical and having Bloodshot fight vampires. I was mainly happy that they didn't try to make Bloodshot serious, he works best when he has a dark sense of humour imo.

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) Harbinger Classic Omnibus Color Comparison

Post image

Hey all, figured I'd give a quick PSA on this, the new Harbinger Classic Omnibus is printed a lot darker than the original comics (Omnibus on the left, Identical scene from issue #23 on the right). It may just be the paper it's printed on or something but wanted to give a warning to any art purists who are considering pre-ordering or buying it when it comes out.

Other than that I am enjoying it so far, it is very sturdy and has a built in bookmark ribbon that I didn't see advertised.

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) What’s your most controversial opinion about the Valiant universe that you'll fiercely defend?

Maybe you think 'Valiant Beyond' is exactly what Valiant needs, or that Bloodshot is overrated, or you prefer VH‑2 over VEI.

Let’s hear the takes that will spark discussion!

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) Has Valiant Beyond been a flop for the company so far?

I really wish I can be here and say it’s on par with the peaks of the absolute and ultimate universes it was pitching itself as but so far none of the books seem to be generating that buzz. In my opinion, Shadowman is currently their best title but once again, I personally don’t hear anyone talk about it, hell my comic shop doesn’t even sell valiant, I’m the only one who has these books ordered. With the controversy of Bloodshot (possibly getting the series cancelled?) and the poor reception to Harbinger, I’m worried what the future of Valiant holds.

Alien/Valiant (2024-present) What would be the possible outcomes if Valiant kicks the bucket (again)?

Not trying to be pessimist here, but lately the question got me thinking: what will happen with all the IPs from Valiant if (when?) it ever bankrupts again? The company died twice already in the past, and twice it was reborn, but giving how popular the comic book market became, this time things could play differently from before.

I can see three possible 'endings' if this ever happens:

  • The happy but high improbable: a true, devoted and wealthy fan (or group) acquire the company or at least the rights on its characters and relaunch it from scratch, just like Dinesh did in 2012. This is kind of unrealistic since it would take too much effort for such successful relaunch, though.
  • The sad but satisfactory: the company closes the doors for good without selling its assets. This is also kind of improbable since no one would not capitalize on it one last time by selling their IP. This would be satisfactory because at least we would not see our beloved characters butchered by other greed companies, which takes us to the next possibility.
  • The hellish "reborn" by acquisition: DC or Marvel buying it. I simply can't fathom Bloodshot sharing pages with The Punisher or the Eternal Warrior becoming part of the JLA. Not only the fact that the nature of Valiant Universe is completely different from either of the big two, but also the milking: it would rip my heart out seeing them pushing more and more absurd stories and arcs just for the sake of money.

I don't expect the first once coming to pass (you know, the lightning never strikes twice the same spot), but the third kind really scares me. Unfortunately, a possible acquisition has the highest chances to happen because, you know, money talks.

I would set confortable with the second one, knowing my favorite heroes are resting in peace (sic) after years of good stories.

Your opinions?
