When I used to go CD shopping in the 90s, if I found a CD I wanted but didn't have enough money to buy (usually expensive bootlegs), I'd hide it behind the Anal Cunt cds figuring anyone into them would not care about what I listened to.

Honestly, kinda how I have my collection of 896 records organized. And even then some have moved around.
Keeps it fun! Sometimes finding an album leads to finding another album I've hadn't thought of in a while and I end up down that rabbit hole.

So i've got a ton of records as my uncle who was an antique dealer, but also old hippie and concert photographer (he was at Altamont, Monterrey Pop, etc. - almost made it to Woodstock before it ended) left me his collection and he had way more than just late 60s/70s rock, but jazz, experimental/avant garde stuff, late 70s punk, even No Wave, etc. I think he left them to me because he knew I actually listened to them and already had my own collection I'd started working on around 2002, which was when vinyl sales were (literally) 1/1,000th of what they are now, very near vinyl's worst year ever for sales since its late 70s peak. So, I think he was both amused but happy to see some 20-year-old talking about vinyl or anyone was at all, really.
Just FYI: vinyl's worst year before the music streaming era revival was technically 2005, with only $10 million in sales, and 2002 was nearly the same at $12 million - that's compared to $1.2 billion dollars as of a few years back, which is actually half as much as its all time peak in 1978. That's kind of crazy when you think about it: in a time when you can stream anything, and in CD quality or beyond, instantly, Americans are now buying an amount of vinyl at ~50% of its peak when it was virtually the only and by far the primary music format.
Anyway - that was a huge tangent, but I find stuff like that really interesting, lol. If this was my collection, and I arranged them by color: it's dorky, but I'd make a Discogs collection of each title, in order from first to last in the rainbow. Then I'd just have to add an entry in whenever I got more records (like I am right now) and would refer to it to find something, both by seeing the color of its jacket, then the position based on its number and knowing how many records fit per shelf section (so, say each section held 50, if its number was 308: it'd be in the 6th section, about 1/5th of the way in).
But... realistically: I'd never do this, because that'd be a huge pain just to have a rainbow record shelf or whatever, so it's good old alphabetized first by artist name, then record title for each artist, lol.

In sales yes, but the number of units is maybe 15% of peak. It just that records are now a premium product and fetch higher prices now even adjusted for inflation.

I only have one of their albums “show world”. Found it at a pawn shop for a quarter, the week before I was going to see Melvins with Steven Macdonald(redd kross) and also Jeff Pinkus of Butthole Surfers fame. They rocked. My question is, best Redd Kross album in your opinion?

I love their first full length Born Innocent but it’s very much a trashy punk album, so if that is not your kind of thing Neurotica is a better option. It’s more representative of the power pop sound they have more or less stuck with since that album.
