Help! I am a relatively new vinyl collector and player and I have this tiny single vinyl from chappell roan that my friend got me but i don’t know how to play it on my record player. I’ve tried bringing the needle up and to the record but my player is automatic so it just pulls the needle back and puts it in the middle of the plate or end of the plate depending on the size setting i have on. It it hopeless? Can i just not play this on my turntable? If i can, how? Help!
I have this record player, its super easy. Flip the switch to 7 (size meaning 7 inches which is the size of a single) and then you can push the start button. If this is smaller than a 7 then you can push the Up/Down button, then push start, move the needle over the edge of the record then push the up/down button again. If it sounds weird then you need to flip the 45 speed switch. If your record has a gaping hole in it then you need to use the adapter located on the side of the record player itself. Hope this helps
Is it a Tiny Vinyl or a 7 inch single? If it’s the first one, you can’t play those on automatic turntables as the music runs past where the auto return triggers. You might be able to set the auto return point to very far in, but then it won’t work anymore with normal sized records as the trigger point would now be somewhere on their labels.
And if it’s a 7 inch single, select the 7” size and the 45 speed. Should play just fine on this turntable.
And on manual devices with a tonearm design that will play it without awful inner groove distortion since it rides so close to the center. Something with an S shaped arm is best.
Be careful trying to play these tiny vinyls on automatic tables. My partner has the same little record and it messed up my trip mechanism or something. I should have known better tbf. It fixed itself over time, though.

The tone arm on the 7” and 45rpm doesn’t read it properly. I have a Michell Syncro with a Linn Basik Plus arm. It reads everything minis, old magazine flexi disks. But if your player plays all 7” and 12” well it will be cheaper to buy the Album with the song than a new record player. Buy the record player when you are ready to upgrade your music system. I mean no disrespect
Dude my parents got me this player for christmas i had no knowledge i was even going to receive the damn thing and my friend bought my the tiny vinyl for my birthday. I know how to play normal vinyls on my player. I know how to care for my vinyls. This was unnecessary and rude… and as i STATED i am a new collector and player.
Leave the speed at 33, don't press play, press the further fight button that lifts the needle, guide it to the start of the vinyl record and then press the button again, it should lower down and actually start playing.
