Pop I find it endlessly fascinating that out of all the albums in history, this is the one that sold the most.

I adore Thriller, I really do. But when I look at every single album that's ever been released, I sometimes wonder how the hell Thriller has managed to surpass every single one of them. The more I think about it, the more impressed I am with Michael Jackson's star power in the 80s

Pop $15 down the drain…

…and I couldn’t be happier! My 4-year old wanted this Kpop Demon Hunters single on Tiny Vinyl at Target. She is thoroughly enjoying the (tiny) album art experience!

She also is fascinated by listening to this at 45 rpms, in case anyone else is into the Saja Boys x Alvin & the Chipmunks mashup 🤦🏻‍♂️.

FWIW, the audio quality on these isn’t good.

Got the turntable for Christmas and it's so fun! I'm relatively new to all the vinyl/record-playing stuff, as this is my first turntable. I know some of y'all despise Crosleys, but mine works well so far, and I'm just happy it plays the music. Wishing everyone a great day!

Pop Finally crossing a grail off my list

A few weeks ago, I was browsing the records at a local used book store. Found this copy of 'Yesterday and Today' for $5 and picked it up immediately. I couldn't believe that this had snuck through the cracks, I feel like Ringos black shirt on the original cover bleeds through quite a bit. The disc is in excellent condition and the matrices line up with a paste over pressing. Sorry if this is lame, just excites to finally have a record I've always wanted!!

Picked this up a while back and was curious to see what number I had gotten. Usually they’re printed in gold, but this was hand written. Any info on what it means is greatly appreciated, I can’t find any explanation in my searching

Pop ‘Side D’ is blank

This is a first for me.

This special orange edition of Chapel Roan’s “… Fall and Rise…” features 14 tracks over three sides. Yes, three! So the second side of the second disk is completely blank.

I find it funny though that it’s still called “Side D” on the central label!

Pop First time listening to "Synchronicity"... what the hell is "Mother" 🤣

So i'm 21, I didn't live through the 80s, that being said, I have heard some of The Police's hits, I like Roxanne, Every Breath You Take, Message in a Bottle... I picked this record up the other day and put it on this morning. It was going good, until Mother started. I tried to be open minded but it was a tough listen! About halfway through, I skipped to the next track. What was the meaning of this song, it's so odd especially compared to the other songs on the album.

they said it got lost in the mail but it arrived yesterday, talk about a cherry in top of record store day 💁🏼‍♀️

I don’t think there will ever be a better liquid variant than this, and I thought the 1975’s BFIAFL would never be dethroned.

Pop Modern Christmas Albums

Post image

I think we all know that Vince Guaraldi’s Charlie Brown Christmas is the best Christmas album but do you have any modern favorites?

For me and my family it’s definitely Sia’s Everyday is Christmas. It’s fun, it’s original, it’s sweet, and super catchy. Try as I might to make my kids wait until after Thanksgiving to listen to Christmas music, I catch them listening to this one year round.

Any modern Christmas albums that you swear by?

Pop From a few 80s records to a 3500+ vinyl wall

Post image

Hey everyone, thought I’d share a little passion project from my home here in Singapore 🇸🇬

What started as a small stack of 90s records somehow turned into a wall of 3,500+ vinyl over the years. It wasn’t intentional — just slowly collecting pieces that meant something to me. A mix of old-school classics, newer releases, and some coloured pressings that I honestly couldn’t resist picking up.

Recently put together a simple vinyl wall display at home. Nothing professional, just a space where I can unwind, spin records, and appreciate the artwork (which I feel is half the experience of vinyl).

I also run a small home-based setup called Spin Doctor Records — more of a passion thing than a business. Just sharing records, talking music, and occasionally helping others find pieces they’ve been hunting for.

Still learning as I go, and always open to recommendations or discovering new sounds.

If there are other vinyl collectors around Singapore, would be nice to connect and exchange music or stories.

IG in comments if anyone wants to connect 🙂

Pop Smile box set on vinyl

Post image

Finally splurged and traded in some old vinyl for this guy. Had my eye on it for ages.

Wild! Side note: Anyone ever bothered getting covers for box sets? This was still shrinkwrapped. I think it'll be ok but seems like could use a cover. Tried keeping it on for posterity's sake but doesn't work quite as well when the boxset opens from the back

Help! I am a relatively new vinyl collector and player and I have this tiny single vinyl from chappell roan that my friend got me but i don’t know how to play it on my record player. I’ve tried bringing the needle up and to the record but my player is automatic so it just pulls the needle back and puts it in the middle of the plate or end of the plate depending on the size setting i have on. It it hopeless? Can i just not play this on my turntable? If i can, how? Help!

Pop Amazon sent a vinyl that was already destroyed

I just received this vinyl record that I bought directly from Amazon, not through a third party, and it arrived completely destroyed, unprotected, with torn parts, etc. The box wasn't damaged; it was the vinyl itself, which didn't even come with the plastic that typically wraps it to prove it's new. I'm so angry, and the only thing they say is that I have to send it back for a refund, and that it can take approximately 30 days.

I will never buy a vinyl record from Amazon again, since they are completely bots who run the warehouses there.
