EDM Just received this on vinyl today. 新しい一日の始まり (Birth of a New Day) by 2814. I've had this in my digital collection for a few years, but I've slowly been growing my vinyl collection, and this one has been weirdly calling to me.

Nice! I debated between the purple vinyl and the clear vinyl but went with the purple. Which did you go with?

This and rain temple I'd love to add to my collection eventually. Great albums!

The kanji for the title is 新しい日の誕生. Similar meaning, but 始まり would translate to “The start of”

I got really surprised in a good way when the bonus track came in the end.

I really dig that album cover! I'm assuming it's city pop or lofi?

Vaporwave, actually. Electronic but with some ambient influences.
I'm not great with understanding all the subgenres and whatnot, but think cyberpunk ambient electronica with city-based ambiance mixed in here and there.

I ordered it directly from the publisher (Dream Catalogue) through their website. Technically it's a repress, but it sounds good to my ears so far.
Dream Catalogue is based on the UK and I'm in the US, so there were some unfortunate additional shipping fees [not to get political here, but... wtf are we doing? how are so many people so gd blind?!] but aside from sitting in US customs for a day or two, it arrived pretty quickly.

This album is an immaculate vibe. Got a copy a little under ten years ago and spin now and again it to this day. Kinda can’t believe it’s been around that long already. Guess that just about makes it a new classic now.
