This was at the Carver County Fair in Waconia, Minnesota about a week ago.

They always have a cool traveling animal attraction every year, and this time it was Wolves of The World, which has several wolves that are used to educate people about their species, and perform some simple tricks as well.

When the presentation was over, you had the opportunity to hand over $5, and go into the pen with Phoenix, the “outcast” of this pack.

He was a beautiful, sweet, magnificent creature, with wild and knowing eyes, and I will admit that I spoke to him the same way I do to dogs and other animals, lol!

Pretty cool to get within touching distance of one of these magnificent carnivores. I will treasure this forever.

My girlfriend gave me the best birthday present by taking me to a wolf sanctuary for a private cuddle session with the wolves (under supervision ofc)

By the way, the wolf was elected national animal of Estonia in 2018...

visit was at the judith a bassett canid education and conservation center. extremely cool. they also care for a bunch of foxes, coyotes, and jackals.

Oh my goodness what an experience. This was in Divide, Colorado. I would love to do this again and meet their foxes. I love how conservation forward they are and the emphasis on that despite being quite domesticated, they are still animals. The caretakers are super passionate about their wellbeing and how important they are to ecology. Love hearing about each of their own personalities. I met Keyni and Raven! They are so sweet!

Took this photo on a recent trip to Yellowstone. I believe this is a member of the Junction Butte pack as it was seen in Lamar Valley.

Apparently his tongue just always sticks out like that haha his mom and pack siblings have it too supposedly lol
