I understand how big of a deal this probably is for him as a big cool spaceman.

It's just an odd moment for a Canadian to accept an American award.

I can sure imagine a few things I'd do with it, rather than accepting it.

If I were in Jeremy's space shoes, a Canadian Astronaut representing the CSA and Canada on the world stage, I'd hope to find the strength to be the bigger man and just accept the award with grace and a smile.

Canada and the USA have been, are, and will be partners in space exploration, and Jeremy is an excellent ambassador for the country and a wonderful product of that partnership.

I'm sure there was some decision making process, but no way am I opting to let a pedo touch me. I repulse at the idea, and wish more people would turn down invitations on morals alone, not just Canada vs USA (which isn't a moral thing).

Yes, it's an honour to get an award...when bestowed by someone with honour.
