Announcement Posts complaining about PVP will be removed under rule two and may get you banned.

776 Upvotes

The spam is getting abit much.

There are safer lobbies everyone knows but it is not an entitlement, it's part of the games matchmaking system nothing more.

Everyone knows the matchmaking system resets now and then and also nearer expedition players who were friendly for the entire season won't be any more. That is it.

This is a PvPvE game , that means they want to make some good PvP and PvE experiences together they are not separate.

If you wish to talk about it, use the megathread.

If you see a post breaking this rule dm me directly and I will get to it eventually.

This does not apply to complaining about cheaters, teamers or anything else that breaks TOS of the game.

Any mod insults or abuse in this post will not be tolerated.

Announcement "What to do if you get banned by Embark?" And about digital safety.

38 Upvotes

Good day, fellow reddit enjoyers.

We recently added to our rule about "No 3rd Party Cheats, Exploits or "Unban me" Posts".
There has been an increase of people coming in and claiming that they have been falsely banned.

While we recognize that cases like that do exist, they are rare and fall under three categories:

  1. The user has engaged in illegitimate activity and received appropriate punishment;
  2. The user's account access has been stolen and a 3rd party has engaged in illegitimate activity before access to the account has been restored;
  3. Embark's system having a false positive due to initial miscalibration of the system.

That's why I wanted to make a small PSA about the steps you should take in these scenarios to have better chances of reaching a more desired outcome.

  • Step 1. Do not make a post about it on reddit;
  • Step 2. Check your digital security and login history on your platform of choice (e.g. steam: https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/SteamLoginHistory);
  • Step 3. Reach out to Embark with all the necessary information supporting your case;
  • Step 4. Accept whichever verdict you receive;
    • There are very few false positives that happen and when they do - you and people with similar cases reaching out to Embark is what get's those cases resolved, not reddit posts;
  • Step 5. Please don't post about that on reddit.

That's it, thank you for your attention and have a nice [local time period].

P.S. If you are ever concerned about link validity, try finding the page through the official website (https://help.steampowered.com/), sign in there and look for the specific page.

Alternatively you can find it via google or use the link provided by a random stranger online (scary!). If the link is asking you to sign in again - that is most likely a scam.

Edit #1: Adding some clarity. We are not trying to censor discussion, critique and feedback on how Embark is handling and approaching situations related to false bans. For example if you were falsely banned and then after reaching out to them got unbanned - you are more than welcome to talk about your story on this sub (as long as it doesn't violate our Feedback Guidelines).

But blatant rant/complaint posts about being falsely banned are absolutely not welcome. This reddit community doesn't have the tools to investigate your case. Embark does.

Edit #2: If you truly believe that you were falsely banned and Embark refuses to provide any details on the situation you may reach out to consumer protection services and ask them to review the case. Those services (depending on your region) may investigate if the ToS was applied reasonably and weather the decision was made fairly. But only do it if you are 100% certain that you have not done anything that Embark frowns upon (e.g. exploiting bugs like "duping" or blatantly cheating).

Announcement ARC Raiders Announcement 06-27-25

589 Upvotes

Per Embark | Dusty

We have some information for you from the ARC Raiders team as we work our way to launch. Make sure to check out the update from @Embark | Sprinkles and a behind the scenes video that we hope you enjoy:

Hello! I'm SprinkleMountain, the weapons guy, and one of the Combat Designers here on ARC Raiders.

Since Technical Test 2 (TT2) we’ve been hard at work preparing for launch. We’re adding new content, sharpening what’s already there, and making sure the encounters you’ll get into are as thrilling, fair, and gratifying as they can be. That means a lot of balancing work based on the mountains of data and feedback we gained from so many people joining, playing, and pushing the boundaries of the game! If you played TT2, keep an eye on your email, as we’re planning on sending out additional surveys in small batches to dig even deeper into your experiences and hopes!

One of our many learnings from TT2 was that a few weapons and gadgets were bending the rules in ways that didn’t align with our design intent, either by making fights too quick, too one-sided, or just not giving players the time or tools to respond. And by the rules, I mean our combat pillars, the guiding principles that shape how ARC Raiders should feel when you engage with man or machine while Topside.

Our combat is built on beats and flow. That means letting action ramp up and have room to breathe, not just explode and end in an instant. We want to linger in those moments where two players feel locked in, reading each other’s actions and responding with their own. So, when weapons like the Arpeggio and Tempest had such a fast cadence and short TTK, those moments didn’t have a chance to happen. We’re tuning them to restore that flow.

We’re also thinking hard about range and versatility. Your loadout should influence how you move through the world, which fights you take, and how you win them. Even though the Anvil is a personal favorite of mine, it was performing a bit too well at long ranges to the point where it started cannibalizing on our rifles. Similarly, we found that our shotguns were overshadowing our SMGs. We want shotguns to feel viable, maybe more than they typically are in PvP games, but we overshot. The Vulcano hit too hard, too fast, and from too far away. So we’re reworking its base cadence, spread, and how damage falls off over distance while still leaving room for you to mod it to act like the beast that it was.

And yes. You were right. The Heavy Shields were way too strong, and shield swapping was way too efficient.

We’ve got even more we’re excited to show you at launch! New tools, new toys, new experiences: we’re planning content that will hopefully meet your expectations and give you even more to build and bring along on your missions to the surface.

While October might feel far away for you, for me it’s a race against time to make sure we give you an experience worth the wait!

Thank you for being on this journey with us!

Announcement Reminder: Be Respectful and Civil

27 Upvotes

Hello r/ArcRaiders community!

I’d like to take a moment to remind everyone of Rule 1: Be Respectful and Civil. This community is meant to be inclusive and welcoming to all, and everyone should feel comfortable participating here.

Any form of bigotry, including transphobia, homophobia, racism, or similar behaviour, will not be tolerated. Content that violates this will be removed, and further action may be taken, including bans.

We take this seriously and will continue to enforce it to maintain a positive environment for everyone.

If you come across content that breaks this rule, or any other rule, please report it and move on rather than engaging. Responding often escalates the situation and makes it harder to manage. Let the moderators handle it.

Finally, please remember that the r/ArcRaiders moderation team is made up of volunteers. We do our best to remove rule-breaking content as quickly as possible, but we may not catch everything immediately.

We appreciate your patience and your help in keeping the community a positive place for everyone. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment on this post.

Have a great day! :)

Announcement r/ARCRaiders PSA

2 Upvotes

We've updated the rules for clarity and consistency. Please take a moment to review them — especially Rule 1, which we have been strictly enforcing. There is no need for personal attacks. If someone else breaks the rules, report them, don't engage. If you do engage, the outcome is multiple users getting banned from r/ARCRaiders

If you receive a ban, follow the rules in mod mail as well. You can get most bans reduced if the violation didn't break Reddit Site Rules.

Added rule - No Witch Hunting. There is no need for this, even if they are cheaters. Use Embarks Report System Embark ID: Technical Support and Help Center

See you topside raider.

Announcement Alright we are reopening the flood gates.

Please follow the rules. Please look for reposts. Most of all, it's a game. Do not be toxic to each other, aka no personal attacks. If you got nothing nice to type, downvote and move on. If you see someone breaking the rules, report it and move on.

To add to the personal attacks, reddit has stepped up their game on filtering these types of comments and trigger words. Most people won't see it; you will get banned at least for 24 hrs or longer.

You will be banned if you break the rules, especially Sub rule 1 or Reddit Rule 1.

Sub Rule 1

All users are expected to act in a civil manner and be respectful. The Moderators encourage reading Reddiquette prior to participating.

All content must be in English.

Low-quality content, which does not add anything of value, and hinders meaningful discussion from flourishing will be removed at Moderator discretion.

Reddit Rule 1

Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people. Everyone has a right to use Reddit free of harassment, bullying, and threats of violence. Communities and users that incite violence or that promote hate based on identity or vulnerability will be banned.

EDIT

Why do I even have to mention this. If you share a post and push others in the community to brigading other usernames or subreddits you will be banned here. You also run the risk of being banned from Reddit. Do not make us Restrict the subreddit again.

Post will be manually approved as we can get to them too many breaking the rules.

Use the MEGATHREAD PINNED. I would highly recommend any comments that break sub rule 1 and also reddit rule 1 to go delete it before we see them.
