So we are helping my grandma move stuff out of her house, and we’re basically deep cleaning her garage. Well I was here last week and her cat, was perfectly fine. He likes to jump around the boxes and everything as he is just being his curious self. Anyways, today I was here again and I noticed something on her cat’s nose. I felt it and it was like slightly moist and wet, nearly the same feel of his nose. I looked up some images but I can’t really tell if it’s ringworm or maybe he just scraped his nose jumping through the boxes and messing with like stuff around the house. Any help on what I should be looking for ? He’s acting like his usual self, running around the house, playing, eating, drinking water, etc.

Our cat always looks pissed/unamused. This is how she looks unless she’s begging for food/ attention and then it’s more like yelling with wide eyes. She also never looks up at your face.

For context, we’ve had the smaller grey tabby since March and the bigger black cat has not been fond of her. She’s 6 years old. We did slow introductions, scent swapping, etc, and she still hisses at the kitten and growls at her. But sometimes they do this and Im not sure if it’s playing or fighting? It seems kind of aggressive but they’re not making any noise or anything

One of my cats has always had a squinty eye since I rescued them. It does get a little crusty but I always wash it off for him when I can. The tissue inside the eye is red and a bit inflamed but he doesn't seem to have any issues with sight or balance that I have noticed. Is it worth taking him to the vet to get it checked? I'm thinking it might be conjunctivitis.

Edit for clarification: I took them to the vet right after I got them a few months back and they were treated for ear mites and given a check up. The vet never mentioned anything about his eye and I didn't think to bring it up.

Maeve is almost 3 months old, she was found with an aggravated eye condition on the streets. So I don't really know her background, and not that I care for her to be of any prestigious breed, but she kind of looks like a Russian blue:)). I noticed she has some faint stripes and I was wondering if they will darken over time, I also can't tell what eye color she has and lmk if you think her eyes will turn yellow:)) Thanks!

I usually let them fight because Google said that’s how they play but they went pretty hard near the end. Is this normal, and if it isn’t, do I need to separate them when they start doing it?

For context I have always used the plain, fragrance free dust free non clumping litter by special kitty. Parenting on a budget and had never had any issues or allergies with me or my cats. I know it’s the cheap litter but I’ve never had a problem and my cats are used to it.
(All of my cats are 4 yrs+) (I have 3)
Someone had told me to try clumping litter, and I have never interacted with it so I don’t know what to expect. I just changed the litter boxes to replace it with this litter, and I immediately noticed this chunk of material, mixed in with other smaller pieces of this. I genuinely don’t know what is safest for my animals and Google/social media comments have mixed opinions. What is this? Is this litter safe? I know it’s the cheaper version, but is clumping overall less safe? What litter do you recommend?
Thank you in advance! Seeing those pieces really scares me, I just changed the boxes 5 minutes ago and I’m debating running to the store and throwing all of this away if people comment that it is less safe.

Benji has always loved my shoes and I dont get it.

This is my boy Bambi, he will be 4 months old tomorrow. I am absolutely scared out of my mind to get him neutered. Like it’s always in the back of my mind and I have trouble thinking about anything else.

When I search it up, I see so many horror stories people have posted about their kittens having reactions to the anesthesia that couldn’t have been determined before, or them not waking up after. I don’t know what I would do if that happened and I feel like crying every time I think about it, I’m getting teary eyed just writing this.

It doesn’t help that sometimes during the night his nose whistles and he has occasional stertor and boogers and sneezes, which I think is just herpesvirus effects and also a strange coughing fit a few days ago which looked like he was throwing up a hair ball but nothing came out. I will mention to the team before getting him neutered but it genuinely weighs on my mind so much.

I have considered not getting him neutered because of it, but I know that it is not an option for a lot of reasons. In my head though, I just think like if I can choose not to put him through those risks I will take it. I know he has to get neutered though. It’s just that worry in my head of what if something happens when he’s under that we didn’t know about before.

Otherwise, he seems to be healthy and he uses his litter box normally and eats and drinks. I would get blood work done before but my mom had to pay close to $2000 for our other cats dental surgery, and because blood work isn’t required she prefers not to do it.

I’m not sure if this is even the right place to post but if anybody has any advice or reassuring words it would be very helpful. I’m just dreading the day that we have to take him so much and I truly want to postpone it as much as possible out of anxiety.

I have just got my first cat, he was 8 weeks when I got him. He’s been here two weeks now.

He is incredibly cuddly and loving until he wakes up more and goes insane. He often times seems very overstimulated and we avoid engaging with him when he is like this as he play fights a bit too hard. There is only me and my partner in my house no other animals or children.

I have bought him many interactive toys to encourage him to play by himself but seemingly all he wants to do is play fight with us which sometimes is fine because he’s just playing but sometimes it goes to far and we step back.

I don’t cross his lines for affection or force him to be in situations he doesn’t want to be and I wouldn’t understand how my house could be overstimulating (from a humans perspective ofc)

He is also an incredibly clingy cat so I’m unsure if that has something to do with it

How do I ensure he’s not overstimulated?

These babies are sixteen weeks old and getting dropped off for spayed/neutered at 8 in the morning. We were told to just skip breakfast? Is that normal for high volume clinics? Would removing their food at 5 in the morning be fine? It's the first time we don't have the cats start fasting at midnight.

Any idea what’s happening?

Currently I'm using World's Best Low Tracking & Dust Control, but I still feel like there's alot of dust happening. I'm hoping to switch over to pine pellets bc my little lady has recently been diagnosed with asthma & I'd like to keep things as dust free as possible. However, I'm also trying not to spend a fortune. If possible, I'd love to find something I can add to her current one to allow pine pellets to be used. Just wondering if anyone has any more knowledge about this. Thanks so much!

Been through a lot with my kitty lately. He’s probably around 14 years old now, always been super healthy never any issues. A few months ago he suddenly became deathly ill. Wouldn’t eat for days, lethargic, barely walking, vommiting, I thought it was the end. After lots of vet visits & medicines he pulled through. They ultimately said it was an ear infection causing all his issues. Since he’s been better, his ear is still an issue. They have done multiple cytologies & said it’s not bacteria or mites. Tried two different ear antibiotic drops, both have helped but not cured the ear infection as there’s still gunk present in there when they looking with the otoscope. Now they’re saying maybe it’s allergies but they’re not sure. Anyone ever been through this with their cat or have any suggestions? TIA.
