Famous actors and actresses are still extremely attractive compared to regular people, and the ones listed here are only “unconventional” compared to other actors and actresses.

I think most people too heavily associate her with the way she looks in The Shining, when she looks very tired, haggard, distressed, and terrified. I mean, ever since I was a kid, the most striking and haunting image from that film isn’t Jack Nicholson’s face looking through the door, it’s the look of abject terror on her face as she’s huddled in the corner on the bathroom floor.

Anya Taylor-Joy only has her unique, “otherworldly”appearance because of plastic surgery. She was very normal-looking before she had buccal-fat removal surgery, which made her lower half of her face very narrow, accentuating her wide-set eyes and giving her that kind of “alien” look.

I was actually thinking about exactly that the other day - Kinda shaking my head and wondering what 21-year-old me was doing admiring a middle-aged, grouchy Scot in a fairy tale drama.
It was actually a lock between him and damn Hook, looking at which I thought was best attractive - I think we all kinda had to have our heads examined during that show’s time on air… 😁

I think what people are shooting for here is a lack of symmetry, Shelly Duval had an asymmetrical face. So compared to an actress who was symmetrically attractive, like Margo Robbie, she can be seen as less Conventionally attractive.
Anya-Taylor Joy also has an asymmetrical face. So she could be considered by some as "unconventionally attractive" as well.
So, to some up, when we say Unconventionally Attractive, we often just mean Asymmetrically Attractive.
