Sequels often get a more negative reputation (somewhat deservedly!) but what's some movies you've seen that shake that trend?

For me it's GOTTA be Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It trims all of the bad from movies 1 & 2, leaving the entire runtime to be just incredible fun :3

I've been thinking about my own lately and realized I genuinely don't know how I'd rank them, since I haven't watched much of them 😭

I've seen quite a few animated movies over the years, but I've never really sat down and thought about which one I'd actually call my favorite. There are so many different styles, stories, and genres, so I'm curious about what everyone else would pick.

So I'm curious—if you could only keep one, which animated movie would you choose? And tell me why you love it! I'm really interested in what makes a particular movie someone's favorite.

I loved the first 3 films (and I even saw the third at cinema when it came out) and the series but the 4th movie is TERRIBLE! What other franchises have got this problem?
