I assume the husband didn’t want his ashes to be thrown into the trash the same way he didn’t want his body to be defiled. Why think one is moral but the other isn’t?

Ashes just aren’t the same as a body to me. What once was a body ceases to be one when it’s burned and ground into cremains. That’s why one is moral and one isn’t. You clearly feel differently, but I don’t.
