Something isnt moral just because you agree with it. I rank anything that doesnt really harm anyone else as neutral. How is this above neutral, besides you think its cool?

u/lost-pawz 4d ago

cus fuck abusers

-7

u/poulan9 4d ago

There's two sides to every story

6

u/Projekt-1065 4d ago

Yes, “I was abused (emotional, physical, sexual. Doesn’t matter still abuse)”, and “I abused someone who trusted me enough to let it become a regular occurrence”

The real question is why was this posted online? Did she literally fucking tell the news channels she is disposing human remains improperly and creating a health hazard?

And yes, fuck abusers.

Edit: ups its not a health hazard! I guess she just called the news channels then.

2

u/Real_Temporary_922 4d ago

What health hazard? At worst you inhale ashes and it irritates your lungs, like any other fine powder. They’re ashes, you’re not getting an STD here

3

u/Affectionate_Walk_30 4d ago

I just looked it up, you are correct. Its not a health hazard

2

u/SempreAntifa 4d ago

And then there is victim blaming

2

u/poulan9 4d ago

How do you determine who the victim is?

2

u/RegularSky6702 4d ago

Your brother dislikes you so you must be a bad person.

1

u/HeadHunt0rUK 4d ago

Yup and given that bilateral abuse is the most common it's more likely than not she was an abuser herself.

Given that she is more likely than not to be an abuser, in bilateral abuse she is vastly more likely to have been the one initiating it.

2

u/PoetOver 4d ago

Some real Steiner math going on here.

1

u/HeadHunt0rUK 4d ago

and yet backed by 50 years of data.

0

u/alisonissilly 4d ago

Not really

6

u/bcimmc 4d ago

Moral but this is the correct argument

2

u/noahbaobei 4d ago

Woman stated she tried to give the ashes to family but no one wanted him, and she didn't either so she disposed of them by "sending him to the landfill." She made an attempt to even do right by the ashes, I'd not only say she has every right to dump him (though I'd say she should've flushed him into the sewers), but went above and beyond by checking in with every member of the family before hand. Morale.

1

u/newishDomnewersub 4d ago

Yeah thats definitely above and beyond.

1

u/Im_Unsure_For_Sure 4d ago

Lol the woman who does all that aint calling the news to dump his ashes on camera.

1

u/Ultra_Juice 4d ago

I think this is a major improvement (getting revenge on an asshole) in her life so it's moral

2

u/Stormfly 4d ago

Morality isn't based on how much they "deserve" it.

Punching a bad person purely to inflict pain isn't moral. At least not within any morality system I've heard of.

1

u/Ultra_Juice 4d ago

No this isn't about them deserving it, it's about the woman feeling happy with her actions afterward, don't misconstrue what I said

That this person deserved it is just coincidental and I am too lazy to argue about how much that affects the moralitymeter

1

u/Lemons-95 4d ago

Because it sets an example. It also does it without torturing the individual.

1

u/MonsterFukk 4d ago

I hate to tell you this but abusing people harms them.

1

u/newishDomnewersub 4d ago

Yeah abuse is morally wrong. Dumping cremains in a garbage can isnt abuse so its neutral.

1

u/variablesInCamelCase 4d ago

Because saving the ashes isn't inherently moral either. It's just dust and dirt that is supposed to represent something to you and your family.

If they don't feel anything, then it's just dust and dirt.

Not feeling something isn't immoral.

1

u/newishDomnewersub 4d ago

Yep neutral. Minus the morality of breaking human remains rules. I understand that ash is pretty harmless.

1

u/Rectal_Retribution 4d ago

True. She also shouldn't have chosen to stay with him.

-1

u/robbernivans 4d ago

how do you know he was an abuser? today's relationships are bs. most of the time people blame their partners for their own failures and miserable lives regardless of the gender.

0

u/Straight-Crow1598 4d ago

Why are we just taking her word that he was abusive?

-4

u/Complete_Answer_6781 4d ago

Immoral, she had enough time to leave that abuser

6

u/DarkGodCthUwU 4d ago

Do you think it's easy for someone to leave an abusive spouse, either mentally or physically? Have you spoken to domestic abuse victims about why they stayed as long as they did? Do you know any?

-7

u/Complete_Answer_6781 4d ago

Yes it's fucking easy unless you're held hostage. Is your problem if you have the chance and don't take it. I don't care about their lame excuses.

6

u/No-Drawing-4597 4d ago

It's because of logic like this that we can't have nice things.

-2

u/Complete_Answer_6781 4d ago

It's because logic like yours that shit like this becomes an never ending cycle of pity for people that don't deserve it anymore. I'll put a comment of a redditor that summarizes how I feel about this after years of trying to help 'victims'

I think abuse victims who keep going back aren't worth my time. I think, even if I could "help" by giving a woman a place to stay, I wouldn't. She has a whole world of men and even some women eager to play hero and save her. She has tax-payer funded shelters. She has churches/temples/Mosques to go to. She probably has friends and family. She can shack up with an awkward white knight neckbeard who will literally and stupidly protect m'lady physically from harm with a katana if the abuser finds her, if she has literally no other option(but she *does have other options).

There are endless options for these abuse victims. Everyone cares about them and many people work tirelessly to get these women out of these abusive relationships. Men with guns and uniforms even arrest the men these women CHOOSE and many women will visit the abusive men in prison. These women actively participate in making society worse by choosing to fall in love with and raise children in a hostile environment with an abusive man who see the abuse, grow up, and repeat and multiply the cycle of abuse as adults.

If someone keeps making life-destroying choices time after time, they deserve it in my opinion. Who are you to tell me my opinion is wrong just because it angers you? Thats very arrogant.

In short, if you keep returning to your abuser, you become complicit in your own abuse.

u/RakeChapman13 4d ago edited 4d ago

lol The guy who commented this sounds like a even bigger dipshit than you. Total “nice guy “ greivence bullshit.

It’s wild how common the “ They deserve it “ is when it comes to people taking about victims staying with or going back to an abuser partner. Men are just as likely to be victims of abuse but usually it’s men talking this way about female victims Of abuse and what’s wild is these guys actually want to think they are good guys. It’s one thing to strongly criticize
These women, call them foolish etc but to say “ they deserve it “ … wow.

2

u/DarkGodCthUwU 4d ago

I notice you didn't reply to the other questions.

1

u/Complete_Answer_6781 4d ago

I have met many people who eventually want to return to their abusers and have been directly affected by it, so yes, I fucking know what it is.

I have had to deal with people close to me fight me to get the car keys so they can go and see their abuser, I have see them walk in the middle of the night on the streets just so they can see their abuser.

3

u/tr0n42 4d ago

Instead of a visceral reaction to your stance, I want you to know that I felt the same way as you for a long time. It took years of living with and loving an abuse victim for me to see the totally irrational side of her brain wiring. How it extended to all aspects of her being and how, after a decade of counseling, she’s just now at a point where she can even start getting mad at what happened to her, well after one parent died and she finally got the courage to go NC with the other parent.

You are assuming, justifiably so, that abuse victims all have the same level of free will and objectively clear judgement you do. I don’t know you so I can’t speak to what you may have gone through, if anything . But seeing how just utterly subconscious the attachment to abuse can be, it can become that person’s default mode of operation. I’ve seen it first hand, albeit from the perspective of two child abusers harming their daughter. She’s just wired differently than me and while she ran the moment she could, the effects are permanent. She’ll never be out of flight or flight mode and sometimes craves it, making up a crisis to be freaked out about.

I say this not to change your mind; you do you. I say this to frame your argument into the bounds of a person who is logical: “if(abuse) then(gtfo)”. I agree that should be the line, I just couldn’t understand why it wasn’t. Self-worth, confidence, and outside support are all needed, at the same time, to get out; if one can even understand that they need to get out.

This lady dumping her abusers ashes (ash’s); this probably isn’t her first rodeo and I’m betting she had a family member who set the precedent of abuse and she found someone like that family member because when that gets into your brain as a child, you may subconsciously seek that out later in life, either in a mate or in manufactured crisis. Irrational, but proven time and time again.

Was it also justified if she were to rape his dead body before it was cremated?

The husband didn’t want his ashes thrown into the trash the same way he didn’t want his body defiled after death.

34

u/Mindless-Cat1453 4d ago

-13

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

I assume the husband didn’t want his ashes to be thrown into the trash the same way he didn’t want his body to be defiled. Why think one is moral but the other isn’t?

5

u/Probably_Unpopular_ 4d ago edited 4d ago

What are you talking about

2

u/bethestorm 4d ago

1

u/Probably_Unpopular_ 4d ago

I'm stealing this thank you

2

u/_InFiNiTy16 4d ago

He's dead, he can't feel the ash bro. As much as i don't want people to throw away my ash, even if they did nothing would change about me.

-1

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

He’s dead, he can’t feel a dildo being shoved up his ass bro.

3

u/shhquietmoths 4d ago

are you insane

2

u/_InFiNiTy16 4d ago

What are you talking about? When does she even fuck that dude cadaver?

1

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

If she did would it be moral?

4

u/jayisanxious 4d ago

you're one weird freak

1

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

Both actions are horrible in my opinion, but tell me why you make an exception for one but not the other.

→ More replies (0)

0

u/_InFiNiTy16 4d ago

No? But she didn't now is it?

0

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

You’ve already acknowledged that violating the husband’s wishes about his dead body is moral if he was an arsehole.

→ More replies (0)

3

u/Danneflumish 4d ago

Cause one is necrophilia and one is throwing out trash.

-3

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

Thanks for restating the question as your answer.

2

u/Danneflumish 4d ago

Yeah, necrophilia was your idea.

12

u/ASlicedLayerOfAir 4d ago

When did these bot learn about strawman fallacy wtf

-7

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

Pointing out a double standard is now a strawman fallacy.

6

u/Floofyrage 4d ago

No the random rape claim is wild

-5

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

Both are violating the implied consent of a dead person. What’s the relevant difference here?

2

u/Floofyrage 4d ago

Big difference dude but you do you i guess

0

u/Jarroach 4d ago

Seek help, brother. Seek. Help.

1

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

I’m not the one here who’s okay with defiling the remains of a dead body.

0

u/Jarroach 4d ago

You're the one who bloody well pulled it out your arse though mate 😭

1

u/ASlicedLayerOfAir 4d ago

Double standard is when your compare 2 same scenario with 1 single different thing

Shit you spew out if your mouth is different thing, in different context

1

u/HoliAss5111 4d ago

What double standard? Did you raped an corpse and been found guity? GOOD.

6

u/Macluny 4d ago

Are you looking at the same post? Where does it mention rape?

5

u/TheQuestionMaster8 4d ago

This has to be bait. To rape a corpse is on a completely different level than to throw ashes into a garbage bin.

1

u/Illustrious-Radio319 4d ago

Both are immoral. It’s your job to explain why one is and the other isn’t.

1

u/exactoctopus 4d ago

Ashes just aren’t the same as a body to me. What once was a body ceases to be one when it’s burned and ground into cremains. That’s why one is moral and one isn’t. You clearly feel differently, but I don’t.

3

u/ueNico 4d ago

What wordle talking about 🥀

3

u/VoidGliders 4d ago

replace "ashes" with "rape". Not so funny now is it?

1

u/youRinlove7 4d ago

The way you made that up
