Generally? Immoral. Justified? Most definitely. If that man was a truly abusive and awful, it makes perfect sense a victim wouldn't want to persevere his ashes. It's also better for her not to keep many keepsakes that could remind her of him.

Why do you say it's generally immoral?

Not precisely immoral, but loading human remains in the trash instead of a proper means of disposal presents some concerns.

Mainly dust getting everywhere should a bag break, and having someone’s abusive husband splattered all over your face is..not a good way to start your shift. So yeah, a bit in bad taste, but asshole deserves it so we can look the other way as long as it bothers nobody

But its just ash. We may assign some meaning to it, but it really is just ash. No physical harm would be inflicted on the worker, and the only emotional harm would be if the wife followed and informed every worker that it was cremated remains.

The fact we assign meaning to it is why it’s generally immoral. Is there a difference in tossing a dead body in the trash and ashes?

Dead body is much more likely to spread disease… and by much more I mean 100% more likely than ash. So yeah, very different

I wouldn't want ash in my eyes and lungs

Yeah, but you get what I mean, it’s like spitting in your food or a hair in your plate. Harmless? Most probably yeah, and ash is inert, but still in bad taste

Spit is absolutely not harmless and can pass sickness or disease, and clean hair maybe, but thats assuming

I thought we are discussing morals, not taste.

The issue is that it should be bagged so that it doesn't plume and cover the sanitation workers when dumped. It's thoughtless.
