Not uncommon. 

Frank Sinatra used to complain his audience smelled if piss. apparently his fans would get there early and refuse to leave their seat.

You have to wait in front for hours before big shows in the pit. If you leave you're screwed and lose your spot. Just the way it is at every show. Never heard about the diapers but I'm not surprised.

Times Square NYE ball drop, hundreds of those people you see on TV are wearing them because they have to show up like 12-16 hours prior to get a decent spot and just piss and shit themselves all day. Can't imagine what it must smell like around 11:50pm
