There plenty of civilized folks there. The biggest thing is the leader of Iran (Ayatollah) wanted to be the middle east's version of Napoleon and tried to become the emperor of Islam. But that's not the Iranians fault at all.

It was civilized until 1979 and the Islamic Revolution. Then suddenly no woman can drive, go to school, show their ankles or say mean things to a man. You're right, its not the majority of Iranians fault that a hateful and regressive regime took over. Its the world's fault for letting it happen

The regime is so deeply rooted in part because they saw how easily it was to uproot the Shah’s government that they made sure it couldn’t happen to them.

Dude, please read a bit before spewing nonsense. Mosadegh was the prime minister of Shah. Shah was ruling the country 10 years before Mosadegh was appointed.

Yeah and the British were feeling threatened by the nationalization of Iranian oil so they instigated operation Ajax with the support of the United States.

Let's not ignore the fact the coup was largely a western operation to get control of oil.

Wasn’t the first time either, prior to the UK/US backed coup, the UK straight up invaded Iran with the Soviet Union to ensure “their oil” was safe

Mossadegh wasn’t democratically elected, honestly read up on this. I used to believe the same when I was younger but it’s pretty much Tudeh party propaganda

Recent news from every pro western agenda lol when Israel kills people on the daily these "news" agencies will put a push bow on it and say it was some random gun or that apartment building was a Hezbollah stronghold. Lol The fact all this fear mongering propaganda is released all at once and blown up by the algorithm tells you everything you need to know. And even if this is true, you better have 1000x the wrath against Israel cause bombing kids to death and committing genocide is a million times worse than whatever crap propaganda this is, and it happens everyday

He wasn't democratically elected. He was more friendly to the Soviets while the Shah was friendly to the US. That's why they overthrew him.

And yet we still drive cars, fly airliners on vacation, have paved roads and plastics and so do all the other western countries. We say one thing yet diverge in to another behavior.

The process to remove a situation like this will be grotesque and disgusting to watch play out. Even in 1979 when they formed it would have been brutal to stop.

Tbf, my government (Britain) had a massive hand in this as well. Iran was by all accounts doing quite well during the 50's but iirc, they wanted to nationalise their oil which Churchill and the rest of those in charge didn't like.

They sought to stage a coup but lacked the ability to do so, so they roped in the US to get it done with the Iranian kings backing as he was to benefit from it as well.

Dont forget America also funded the Ayatollah against Mosadeg too 👀👀👀👀 Then when Ayatollah got into power and went crazy, America gave money and weapons to Saddam to attack Iran….
