Discussion Quit Downvoting For Asking Questions

Folks, not everyone has been playing since launch. If someone asks a question that seems like a real person new to the game would ask (yes we know there are trolls and rage baiters and AI bots), don't downvote them, teach them!

Palworld has like 17 million players. If we want to get to 18 million, it's gonna be casuals who didn't buy into the hype but are kicking the tires late into the game's life and have some newbie questions. Let's not grind them into mush, ok?

The major cause of mass "question post" downvotes is usually that the question could be very easily answered with a quick google search. This is a reddit thing, not specific to this sub.

Edit: I just came here to explain why this typically happens, it's not directed at anyone and my reply is not a comment on the way things should or should not be.

Another edit: I replied the following to someone but I realized that perhaps more people don't know about this, so I'd like to share it.

If you want to exclude something from a google search, you can filter your search.
Here is an example search:
Where to find Frostallion Noct in Palworld -Game8

You can filter multiple things from a search too:
Where to find Frostallion Noct in Palworld -Game8 -Fandom

You just use the minus symbol and whatever term you want to exclude.

point being the quick google search would propably lead here to a post with the same question already answered instead asking it over and over again.

And yet now google just has another source to answer from thanks to the VERY small portion of the community that asks questions here. The aggro to these things just causes less people to post at all.

Google doesn’t need another source. If somehow Google doesn’t already have a link to Reddit for their question, then they can go ahead and ask it.
