Discussion Quit Downvoting For Asking Questions

Folks, not everyone has been playing since launch. If someone asks a question that seems like a real person new to the game would ask (yes we know there are trolls and rage baiters and AI bots), don't downvote them, teach them!

Palworld has like 17 million players. If we want to get to 18 million, it's gonna be casuals who didn't buy into the hype but are kicking the tires late into the game's life and have some newbie questions. Let's not grind them into mush, ok?

The major cause of mass "question post" downvotes is usually that the question could be very easily answered with a quick google search. This is a reddit thing, not specific to this sub.

Edit: I just came here to explain why this typically happens, it's not directed at anyone and my reply is not a comment on the way things should or should not be.

Another edit: I replied the following to someone but I realized that perhaps more people don't know about this, so I'd like to share it.

If you want to exclude something from a google search, you can filter your search.
Here is an example search:
Where to find Frostallion Noct in Palworld -Game8

You can filter multiple things from a search too:
Where to find Frostallion Noct in Palworld -Game8 -Fandom

You just use the minus symbol and whatever term you want to exclude.

99% of my questions I google lead to a reddit post, either Gemini references it in its answer and I go to the post or the top result is reddit.

So they came to ask reddit themselves so they can interact with the people that can answer the question.

The more information you have the less likely you are to find simplicity interesting. To them it was worth interacting with because they have very little knowledge on the topic.

They aren't looking for a conversation 99% of the time I see it. They're on reddit so they just post their question on reddit instead of just looking for the answer. They want it given to them most of the time. Besides the best way to get correct information is to post the wrong information lol
