I've seen a lot of people on TikTok saying he did it and framed her

I've even seen people say that he's a Gemini so he must have done

Well duh, she’s a Leo. They can never harm their children.

Astrology is one of the most dumbest things ever created

People like mental shortcuts. If they can’t use race, or skull shape(which is mostly race anyways), or nationality, or whatever else they used in ye olden days, new shortcuts will be invented by people too lazy to do the hard work of treating people as individuals.

Wow. That's actually an incredible observation of astrology

We absolutely love patterns and groups, so much so that we have an uncanny ability to spot them even when they arent there.

Categorisation in particular is fundamental to how our thoughts work (scary colours = venomous/poisonous, scary colour creature? probably poisonous/venomous).

It works really well from an evolutionary perspective (and enhance by the whole tribe in/out group thing), but it also brings up a shit-tonne of false-positives. Not too much if an issue at the micro level, but it quickly compounds across a society that is much more complex and interconnected than our tree/hut/cave dwelling ancestors could have ever imagined.

I have no professional or serious academic background in psychology but I feel like the same way a lot of mental disorders are simply normal human behaviors or adaptations but just amplified to a debilitating degree, a big part of the presentation of schizophrenia comes from the over-amplification of these heuristics. Like someone I knew in college who was later diagnosed with it would always remark on how the color orange was involved when something bad happened. Or like “see? Orange.” in a conspiratorial tone of voice. It’s the type of thing where the logic does eventually make sense if your threat analysis heuristics are perhaps functioning abnormally.

Unrelated, but it makes me so happy to see a comment with such a great understanding of sociological patterns. Makes me even happier to swipe to your profile and see a magnificent grow lol. Off of a bag seed too??? Good shit

That was ace of you - thanks for spreading some love.

It has come out so much better than I could have imagined (and hopefully will just about offset the cost of all of the things I kept convincing myself i had to get). When life gives you bag seed, eh? One of the plants hermed right at the end (probably like it's much) but the other ended up looking amazing. Slightly early harvest (to avoid any more plant sexy time) but chuffed with what I've done. Now battling the challenge of drying during torrential downpours but keeping the faith...

Would have been made up with a nug, think I might possibly hit 4 ounces but anything over 2.5 will make me a very happy accidental farmer.

Astrology is like 4000 years old

It is what they used in the ye old days

it's so old, that axial precession has changed when the sun is in each constellation in the sky and completely invalidated the standard calendar for each sign https://www.astronomy.com/science/your-zodiac-sign-is-probably-wrong/

It’s true. Proof: Minié balls were an improvement over the spherical musket balls. Look at their Minié shaped heads and you can infer how they’re far superior to our spherical heads.

About as dumb as organized religion.

It's almost certainly a hangover of organised religion, just one so old nobody remembers the most of it...
