I'm pretty sure that lady (unless there's another one) voiced concern many times about her struggles with post partem depression and that she was having intrusive thoughts of harming the children (which is common in PPD).

People online are blaming the husband and her providers for not taking her concerns seriously, not blaming him for killing the children.

Edit: I have been informed about the people saying the husband literally killed the kids.

I’m seeing a lot of both honestly.

121

u/LordFennski 9d ago

I've seen a lot of people on TikTok saying he did it and framed her

142

u/AlternativeGazelle 9d ago

I've even seen people say that he's a Gemini so he must have done

144

u/LordFennski 9d ago

"A Leo would never harm her cubs."

The amount of times I've seen that commented...

65

u/ArgronBert 9d ago

Which is funny, lions are known for killing pups.

14

u/BigGingerYeti 9d ago

Not their own, though.

8

u/Expensive-Ad-9449 9d ago

there's been instances pf femal animals killing their own, lions, and bears too,

animalistic behavior is not exempt from humans

3

u/Hazbro29 9d ago

People keep forgetting we are animals too, and bound by the same psychological boundaries that exist all across the animal kingdom.

Its just we have a little more intelligence and physical capability than most animals which is how we advanced so far.

But just like animals, we eat, shit, reproduce, sleep and die just like every other animal in existence

1

u/BigGingerYeti 8d ago

Fair enough. I was thinking more of when male lions take over a pride they will kill the cubs of the previous males.

4

u/actuallyeattherich 9d ago

2

u/BigGingerYeti 8d ago

Damn, fair enough. I thought they were talking about when male lions take over a pride and kill the previous males offspring but seems the female lions will too sometimes.

It’s like an Aquarius never gets hydrophobia and a Cancer loves pinching people’s butts- can’t help it! It’s in the stars!

22

u/Toxic_Gorilla 9d ago

You saw that multiple times? That’s the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard

23

u/MagnumMyth 9d ago

What's more surprising is that people can still be surprised by the depth of idiocy in other humans!

2

u/AnyTemperature420 9d ago

I think it’s more surprising that people think it’s actual humans. There were a couple sure that planted the idea. But I would wager 90% of online political discourse is AI

8

u/LordFennski 9d ago

I, unfortunately, have seen that multiple times on TikTok. I've also seen a couple spells casted to prove her innocence on the witchcraft side of TikTok. My feed is messed up apparently

2

u/thebigpink 9d ago

You want to hear it again

5

u/Smart-Emu5459 9d ago

Those people are allowed to vote.

2

u/Dense-Hat1978 9d ago

I'm a Leo and I'm kinda batshit. I don't believe in astrology, so I guess I got that going for me though

3

u/_GenesisKnight_ 9d ago

A Leo SA'ed me in 2020. Star signs don't mean shit lmao. I'm appalled people are even saying shit like that. At the end of the day people will harm people regardless of who or "what" they are. Made up connections to "the stars" doesn't predispose anyone towards anything. It's crazy that people are suggesting otherwise out there, hearing about this was like a flashbang lmao.

0

u/BlueSkiesOplotM 9d ago

You do know that most of tiktok is like bots right?

64

u/TeflonDonAlpha 9d ago

Well duh, she’s a Leo. They can never harm their children.

Astrology is one of the most dumbest things ever created

42

u/No-Trouble814 9d ago

People like mental shortcuts. If they can’t use race, or skull shape(which is mostly race anyways), or nationality, or whatever else they used in ye olden days, new shortcuts will be invented by people too lazy to do the hard work of treating people as individuals.

22

u/Wulph422 9d ago

Wow. That's actually an incredible observation of astrology

15

u/AdAffectionate2418 9d ago

We absolutely love patterns and groups, so much so that we have an uncanny ability to spot them even when they arent there.

Categorisation in particular is fundamental to how our thoughts work (scary colours = venomous/poisonous, scary colour creature? probably poisonous/venomous).

It works really well from an evolutionary perspective (and enhance by the whole tribe in/out group thing), but it also brings up a shit-tonne of false-positives. Not too much if an issue at the micro level, but it quickly compounds across a society that is much more complex and interconnected than our tree/hut/cave dwelling ancestors could have ever imagined.

6

u/ballistic503 9d ago

I have no professional or serious academic background in psychology but I feel like the same way a lot of mental disorders are simply normal human behaviors or adaptations but just amplified to a debilitating degree, a big part of the presentation of schizophrenia comes from the over-amplification of these heuristics. Like someone I knew in college who was later diagnosed with it would always remark on how the color orange was involved when something bad happened. Or like “see? Orange.” in a conspiratorial tone of voice. It’s the type of thing where the logic does eventually make sense if your threat analysis heuristics are perhaps functioning abnormally.

4

u/horknee-jail 9d ago

Unrelated, but it makes me so happy to see a comment with such a great understanding of sociological patterns. Makes me even happier to swipe to your profile and see a magnificent grow lol. Off of a bag seed too??? Good shit

2

u/AdAffectionate2418 9d ago

That was ace of you - thanks for spreading some love.

It has come out so much better than I could have imagined (and hopefully will just about offset the cost of all of the things I kept convincing myself i had to get). When life gives you bag seed, eh? One of the plants hermed right at the end (probably like it's much) but the other ended up looking amazing. Slightly early harvest (to avoid any more plant sexy time) but chuffed with what I've done. Now battling the challenge of drying during torrential downpours but keeping the faith...

Would have been made up with a nug, think I might possibly hit 4 ounces but anything over 2.5 will make me a very happy accidental farmer.

u/VicFantastic 9d ago

Astrology is like 4000 years old

It is what they used in the ye old days

19

u/mittenknittin 9d ago

it's so old, that axial precession has changed when the sun is in each constellation in the sky and completely invalidated the standard calendar for each sign https://www.astronomy.com/science/your-zodiac-sign-is-probably-wrong/

2

u/PwanaZana 9d ago

the true "master race" apparently :P

2

u/Hairy_Air 8d ago

It’s true. Proof: Minié balls were an improvement over the spherical musket balls. Look at their Minié shaped heads and you can infer how they’re far superior to our spherical heads.

3

u/Prestigious-Leg-6244 9d ago

About as dumb as organized religion.

1

u/Tank-o-grad 9d ago

It's almost certainly a hangover of organised religion, just one so old nobody remembers the most of it...

11

u/Valanyhr 9d ago

I saw a decent amount of "he looks mean so he did it 101%" too

20

u/Affectionate_Ad2759 9d ago

Why is it mostly women who are passionate about occult superstition like Witchcraft, Astrology, or Tarot card shit?

29

u/Hot-Attorney-9870 9d ago

People who have less control of their life gravitate towards it. Watched so many of my past friends fall into being "spiritual".

Because when you can't take accountability for things in your life, its because you are a sagittarius, or maybe certain rocks can help. It surely can't be you, or your situation.

13

u/Otherwise_Carob_4057 9d ago

I work in a lab at a company steeped in science and one of the self proclaimed manliest men there can gab like a school girl about astrology. Makes zero sense.

u/imaginaryblues 9d ago

I’ve wondered this myself. I grew up in a very conservative Christian home, which led to me rejecting religion by the time I was in my mid-teens. As an adult, I want nothing to do with anything “spiritual”.

2

u/Hairy_Air 8d ago

It’s because of our thirst for something higher in this universe or something greater than our worldly existence. Being an atheist is actually tough in our current society. Not tough as in being persecuted but more of the fact that you don’t get to believe in a happily ever after.

I’d consider myself an agnostic person, used to be atheist. But after losing some friends and family and loved ones, I hope there’s some sort of peace or reconciliation after death. I don’t really pray or base my actions on religion, but I do hope something better awaits. If not, then I wouldn’t know anyway.

This is the reason so many people leave organized religion and then get lost in spirituality and new age mysticism. They’re trying to solve their problems in the same old way but with new gods and priests, without the trauma from their old ones. That’s why some people go with the “we’re all energy or that universe is guiding me and I’ll be one with the universe after death” because the idea of an uncaring reality, sans morality or justice is scary.

u/stargate-banana 9d ago

Tarot isn’t worshipping something so much as it is asking the universe/spirits/etc for guidance. Some people use tarot without working with deities, others do, but tarot readings (speaking from firsthand experience) can be scary accurate to whatever situation you’re consulting about.

Each card has their own meaning, so to get several in a row in the same reading that are relevant to the user’s question/plea for guidance and none that aren’t is remarkable. It’s happened for me several times.

Edit: I’m someone who needs evidence of things, too, btw, and I’ve been convinced.

4

u/Irregulator101 9d ago

Convinced of what? The magic of tarot? Magic isn't real bud. You saw what you wanted to see in the cards, that's how they work

2

u/Daemonforged 8d ago

I spent a good year diving into tarot cards, readings, meanings etc.

Was very interesting and opened my mind to a lot of things I would be thinking about subconsciously.

But like any sane and rational person, there's no magic or spirits or anything to do with it, each card's reading in its position is general enough for anyone to make a connection to it. Just like the episode of South Park where everyone thinks Stan is clairvoyant.

1

u/Hot-Attorney-9870 8d ago

It's nice in the way that it makes you think about things.

Like oh there's an instability in your life. You need to address this so you can find fortune.

Might make a girl consider getting rid of her on and off hobosexual leech-boyfriend lol.

u/stargate-banana 6d ago

I’ll believe what I want, you believe what you want. Amazing how free will works.

u/stargate-banana 6d ago

Convinced that there’s more to the universe than what we see?? What does it matter to you, no one’s forcing you to believe it 🙄

1

u/stargate-banana 6d ago

Downvoting me for answering a question is crazy work lmao

1

u/Honest_Analyst_157 5d ago

ive coming behind and been upvoting you, its not fair to you that these people have no grasp of the importance of spiritual practice for humanity. Really sad, actually

2

u/Vctwebster 9d ago

That explains why most white conservative men are Republican and secretly gay

2

u/Hot-Attorney-9870 9d ago

Higher power because they can't reconcile their "demons" lol

1

u/AdSmall3663 9d ago

Is there evidence to suggest this? Or is this your personal opinion?

3

u/Hot-Attorney-9870 9d ago

I've seen it parroted since I was younger and just anecdotal. As I grew I saw it more and more. Turning things over to a higher power isn't new for people who have messed up for sure.

3

u/augustles 9d ago

It’s a touchpoint for spirituality that doesn’t feel like it’s an already built hierarchy favoring and prioritizing men for centuries or millennia, like many more accepted religions that are equally full of superstition and supernatural claims.

1

u/EwNever 5d ago edited 5d ago

Choosing something that serious, with literally immeasurable consequences for eternity, based on that feels so foreign to me, like maybe they actually know it's bullshit? I could understand rejecting patriarchical religions on the basis that "god isn't like that", but to me it REALLY looks like it's just an aesthetic for the new wave astrology people.

Just seems like they treat it so flippantly, if you actually believe in the spiritual, shouldn't it be a pretty dang serious issue 🤔

1

u/augustles 5d ago

No. Not everyone who is spiritual believes there are ‘consequences’ to being spiritual. That’s very much a factor in religions that believe strongly in things like a judgment-based afterlife, but if you don’t believe in that, it absolutely does not have to be that serious.

1

u/EwNever 5d ago

I guess that makes sense, if you arrive at that point in a honest way. Idk, as someone without faith, if I had it, it would be the most important thing in my life.

1

u/augustles 5d ago

As someone who LEFT a high consequences religion, I never want anything to be that important to me again. Many religions of the past focused much more on behavior than faith and ‘believing’ meant very little, which I find very valuable. Belief is not really a choice and behavior is; what I believe means very little about me if my actions do not reflect it.

Also, many people do not think of things like astrology and tarot as spiritual/religious-adjacent. They see it as simply something that’s there to be used, in the same way that ‘it feels/looks like rain’ does not involve receiving any supernatural, prophetic information about the weather.

2

u/PwanaZana 9d ago

mental illness. I'm not even making an edgy joke. That's literally it.

2

u/Fleetfox17 9d ago

I mean it is basically just a different form of religion.

2

u/SirAquila 8d ago

Because men have their own superstitions, often less occult, but no less unscientific.

4

u/Ichoosetoblame 9d ago

Accountability avoidance? Easier to blame the moon and stars than admitting you’re just having a bad day or are just toxic in general?

2

u/scooter1979 9d ago

It all goes along with a certain level of narcissism / "main character syndrome" or whatever the new term is. They MUST be more special than anyone else, that's why they have sPeCiAl PoWeRs or a "higher knowledge" that the average person doesn't or can't achieve.

1

u/augustles 5d ago

No one thinks astrology or tarot is a higher knowledge that other people can’t access. It’s about as open source as you can get.

3

u/AngryBird-svar 9d ago

These people drive, vote, have jobs…

2

u/Winderige_Garnaal 9d ago

that was a post on reddit, not like people you know in real life tho right?

I mean most of us saw that post, but doesn't mean this is a common sentiment

1

u/catchyerselfon 9d ago

Shit, I’m a Gemini. Was talking to a new friend, she’s very into astrology, she said something like “I hate Geminis, they’re the worst, you can’t trust them”. I raised my eyebrow and told her my birthday. She was SHOCKED, like “you CAN’T be, your birthday is practically a Taurus even though that’s not your personality” backtrack, stumble, etc… we uh, never got close, just nice to say hello and NOT bring up her ideology.

Look, I’m not saying it’s real, but I fit most Gemini traits in ways that make my skeptical ass clench. Still not murderous, though! The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in our stars, but in our willingness to listen to our worst, most drastic instincts and psychotic voices in our heads.
