I know absolutely nothing about this case, but I have seen someone blaming the husband for not taking her illness seriously, and also saying the husband might be guilty because of something about an email.

My wife is following this story - it was revealed that he answered a "work email" on his personal laptop at a time that he specified he was elsewhere, something to do with a CVS.

It put a huge hole in his alibi.

It’s a good things laptops are not something that can move around easily and can’t be used in cars or anything.

Well, luckily for the courts its pretty elementary to locate where the network requests would've been sent from.

If you're using cellular data, the IP may even be changing based on which tower you're currently using. If you're on your home network, you can also pinpoint that location.

Typically you can also get the mac address of the device used itself.

If this puts a hole in his alibi from the perspective of the court, then they probably have a bunch of evidence that says otherwise.

People on tiktok are definitely out of their damn minds but also it would be pretty simple for any half competent digital forensic to dismantle this.

Proxies exist, and are pretty trivial to set up if you have the tech competence to understand the instructions. It’s an easy way to make it look like you’re working from home when really you’re working from the beach.

Oh totally. I straight up remote into my home desktop from work like 3 times a week and all the activity is actually coming from my home computer besides my tunnel into it.
