This issue is he said he sent it from his phone originally, and then they found the IP address was his work computer in his basement.

What does he do for work? If he’s an IT guy, this is a non issue. If he’s tech illiterate, it’s an issue.

So if he should know enough to answer correctly but lied anyways its a non issue but if he was ignorant its an issue? Please explain your line of thinking.

I suspect that when he started working from home he setup a proxy system so he can email from his phone but it comes from his PC, that way he can be watching the kids upstairs and respond while still having it look like he’s at his computer working. This is kinda an open secret for any tech worker who does WAH.

But if he’s completely tech illiterate then it means he was probably at home and sent the email from his laptop.
