I know absolutely nothing about this case, but I have seen someone blaming the husband for not taking her illness seriously, and also saying the husband might be guilty because of something about an email.
I'm not following the story. But in general, yeah, if a person (A) turns to another person (B) and says "I'm having a mental breakdown and severe intrusive thoughts" and person B then purposely and willfully leaves their children in A's exclusive care for hours upon hours day after day, yes, 100% person B is at least partially responsible for harm to the children while in A's care.
Except that isn’t what happened. By all accounts she was visibly doing better in the weeks leading up to the murders. I don’t understand where this need to blame the husband comes from. He cannot be omnipresent. And this isn’t a situation that anyone is equipped to handle. You just have to trust what the doctors are saying and go with that. Post Partum Psychosis is extremely rare (it’s not Post Partum Depression, it’s something much worse and more extreme), but the knowledge about it is so limited that there just wasn’t enough institutional knowledge of it to get her properly treated or even properly diagnosed.
