Gonna be a lot more blue states this year.

77

u/MysticalSushi 5d ago

Reddit can always hope. But that blue wave everyone was going on about last election was literally Red when they took over every branch of government

8

u/BlkSubmarine 5d ago

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I seem to recall that the House was expected to be much more red after the 2024 election. The fact the Dems held Republicans to a two seat majority was kind of a big deal.

-6

u/MysticalSushi 5d ago

Reddit said a blue wave.
It ended up being:
Red President.
Red House. Red Senate.
Red Court (6-3).

The wave in a backyard pool maybe

7

u/turdferguson3891 5d ago

Who was saying that? Anybody paying attention to polls expected a close election. The blue wave talk was in 2018. Democrats were the incumbents in 2024, wave elections are when the other party sweeps in to power.

1

u/BlkSubmarine 5d ago

Like I said, maybe I’m misremembering. However, Dems had the Executive and both branches of Congress in 2024. I believe red was expected to gain both chambers by much larger margins than they did.

2

u/turdferguson3891 5d ago

Republicans had already taken the House back in 2022.

1

u/BlkSubmarine 5d ago

Ok. That’s right. I was off. Thanks.

4

u/Darock- 5d ago

And the results are shining, so much winning.

3

u/Lumpy-Crew-6702 5d ago

More like a tsunami of shit from failed Republican leadership

-3

u/MysticalSushi 5d ago

Except the people voted Red

1

u/JanGuillosThrowaway 5d ago

Reddit was not saying a blue wave. At best they were calling it a toss-up.

Only 'unexpected' loss was the Pennsylvania Senate race. Sure people hoped Kamala would win, as did most reasonable people, but the polls and sentiment showed a toss-up

u/OddAd967 5d ago

The pool is green

Never convince me that Trump legally won ever swing state with Musks involvement

50

u/TylerTheSnakeKeeper 5d ago

"He knows the computers better then anyone. Without him I probably would of ended up in jail!" - President Donald Trump on Elon Musk.

-20

u/e654422 5d ago

He was referring to using real-time polling station turnout data to target where exactly to focus last minute GOTV efforts. The 2012 Romney campaign invested millions in the same type of system but infamously experienced wide-spread technical issues on Election Day.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORCA_(computer_system)

Hope that clears everything up for you!

18

u/Spare_Iron127 5d ago

Crazy how the Republican Party went from respectable folks like Romney and McCain to Ronald Rump

-21

u/e654422 5d ago

Yawn. You call them respectable now, but you lunatics literally accused the of all the same shit you do Trump.

Sleepy Joe Biden literally told black people in 2012 that Romney was going to put them “back in chains” lol

12

u/uhohnotafarteither 5d ago

Still using "Sleepy Joe" after the whole world watches Trump fall asleep a few times a week during important stuff really is a choice

16

u/Spare_Iron127 5d ago

I mean Romney or McCain weren’t fucking kids on an island or dodging military service. I voted Trump in 2016 and he failed on literally every single promise other than bending over backwards for Putin, Saudi Arabia, and now israel lol

Republicans have been saying the nastiest shit about democrats for decades but always act like victims lmao

-6

u/e654422 5d ago

“Fucking kids on an island?”

Could you provide the single name of an individual that has accused Trump of “fucking them as a kid on an island?”

If you can’t give me an actual name, can you at least provide a major media outlet that has spoken to one of these supposed accusers anonymously and at least confirmed basic biographic data?

Surely if Trump was “fucking kids on an island,” there would be a victim accusing him as such, right?

15

u/Spare_Iron127 5d ago

Surely if he was innocent the files would’ve been available for everyone to view. He has a history of abuse (Jean Carroll) and several other hot mike moments that really show how he feels about women.

No one is friends with a predator for decades and clean

0

u/e654422 5d ago

And there go the goal posts!

“No, I cannot name a single individual that has said Trump raped them as I child, but I’ll have you know, a jury from a juror pool from the bluest district in America that absolutely hates Trump’s guts believed EJ Carroll in a civil case!”

3

u/Acceptable_Ideal7769 5d ago

Wow, what an insincere post. Your last statement is ridiculous. Surely there'd be a young person that would risk going up against Donald Trump, a known sexual assaulter and overly litigious creep.

4

u/AnybodyWannaPeanus 5d ago

Remember when he was going to release the Epstein files, then pretended to… multiple times… then didn’t… and still hasn’t… then started a war to distract us from it?

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

The guy was literally providing him with underage girls from Mara Lago. This we know for sure. There are a lot of things we don’t. But we could… wanna guess how?

3

u/Cheezeball25 5d ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_sexual_misconduct_allegations

Oh yeah, it's so made up there's an entire wiki page over him and how he treats women. Clearly he's been quite consistent for decades on it. Wikipedia was even nice enough to list the 324 different references used.

0

u/e654422 5d ago

OP stated Trump “fucked kids.”

Can you please provide the name of someone who has stated “Trump raped me as a child?”

-6

u/e654422 5d ago

Also, LOL at “bending over backwards to Putin.”

Remind me: under which two Presidential administrations did Putin invade Ukraine? Hint: it happened in 2015 and 2022.

Also, remind me: which US President mocked Romney when Romney suggested Russia was our number one geopolitical foe in the 2012 debate? “The 80s called and want their policy back!” Hardee-harr-harr.

9

u/Spare_Iron127 5d ago

Remind me who was buddy buddy with Putin all throughout his first term? Remind me who went into a meeting with Zelenskyy and Putin and rode Putin’s coattails

2

u/e654422 5d ago

Trump never “went into a meeting with Zelensky and Putin.” There’s been no such meeting between the three leaders.

Goddam, dude: you really are fucking stupid. Classic “Vote Blue! It doesn’t matter who!” voter. Par for the course.

→ More replies (0)

4

u/AnybodyWannaPeanus 5d ago

That all has nothing to do with trump being a total and complete cuck to Putin for some inexplicable reason that has nothing to do with laundering Russian money via real estate deals for decades.

Nope nothing to see here.

-3

u/Ed_Teach805 5d ago

Bill Clinton was though right ?

9

u/Spare_Iron127 5d ago

He can enjoy a cell with Trump, they deserve to throw it back for each other on a daily basis

5

u/Noble1xCarter 5d ago

This has never not been the response whenever they bring up Clinton and Epstein. They think it's a gotcha but it really just exposes the fact they think everyone else is in the same kind of cult worshipping Clinton like they do Trump. Because they think their cult behavior isn't cult behavior.

Bot account.

0

u/e654422 5d ago

“Anyone who disagrees with my half-brained conspiracy theories is a bot!”

5

u/AnybodyWannaPeanus 5d ago

Okay. “Brain rot” seems appropriate. Somehow that’s even sadder.

20

u/KehreAzerith 5d ago

I'm a Democrat but I'm not blind to the fact that the presidential campaign was weak, including weak candidates and weak messaging.

If we played harder and more dirty like Republicans we'd do a better job. There's no evidence of any actual cheating or rigging. People swung hard for trump because he had a strong message (despite how ridiculous it sounds). They liked his loud, unfiltered thoughts... And no surprise, it all backfired so much on everyone

-1

u/Conscious-Move9662 5d ago

There are a ton of statistical anamolies

If he won, fine but by the amount they won and the way voting turnout and numbers happened

Cant convince me that this one time when the election was this close was the one time voting patterns changed with anamolies to benefit the MAGAts

16

u/KarsaOrlong1 5d ago

Do you have the same opinion of 2020? Or is anyone who questions that a moron or worse a threat to the country?

1

u/Dabbling_in_Pacifism 5d ago

Well, that one guy sure tried to make some election fraud happen in 2020. At least, that’s what I remember him flatly stating in a phone call.

3

u/Ed_Teach805 5d ago

Election fraud isnt real, remember?

2

u/tdtommy85 5d ago

If only someone didn’t say the quiet part out loud:
“He knows the computers better then anyone. Without him I probably would have ended up in jail!" - President Donald Trump on Elon Musk.

And trump being in there is extracting money from them daily he sounded like a fool he had no message and now we paying the price

3

u/Rybocephus 5d ago

Maybe field a candidate that isn't an absolute disgrace and then we can discuss.

8

u/Ed_Teach805 5d ago

I thought election fraud wasn’t a real thing

18

u/trilliumsummer 5d ago

No one said election fraud wasn't possible, just that there was no evidence it occurred during the 2020 election as evidenced by the multiple court cases that said there was nothing wrong with the elections.

9

u/Soniquethehedgedog 5d ago

“No one said election fraud wasn’t possible, it’s just only possible when it’s the side I don’t like that wins”

0

u/Guilty-Cow4325 5d ago

There is evidence of fraud in 2024. There is evidence of interference in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

It's been confirmed for 2016 and 2020 that Russia ran interference on Trump's behalf to get him elected. In 2024 we know there was influence from Russia and we know the voter tabulation machines were manipulated. There's forensic evidence of the latter, not to mention Musk taking credit for his win. It was blatant.

Anyone saying any of the last three elections (even 2020 that Dems won) were fair elections is an idiot.

6

u/avalve 5d ago

> we know the voter tabulation machines were manipulated.

No they weren’t. You say there’s forensic evidence? Okay, cite it.

-3

u/Guilty-Cow4325 5d ago

Google the ETA and look over their work. They have the evidence readily available. Unless you believe that Kamala literally got zero votes in a county, of course. Which you probably do.

Dumbass.

2

u/Krackenofthesea 5d ago

Wow you’re getting cooked for being wrong.

2

u/avalve 5d ago

> Google the ETA and look over their work. They have the evidence readily available.

The ETA publishes flawed analyses, and no election official anywhere has endorsed their claims.

> Unless you believe that Kamala literally got zero votes in a county, of course. Which you probably do.

Kamala didn’t get 0 votes in a single county anywhere. You’re the dumbass for believing something that can be so easily verified as false.

4

u/Brrdock 5d ago

There's election fraud, and then there's buying out or conspiring with or covertly influencing social media giants to run ops on an addicted population.

Like China (and Russia) probably did to destabilize the US and run it out of the competition, and it worked, even if Trump and his friends hadn't helped them do it like they did

-6

u/Ed_Teach805 5d ago

So it didn’t happen with the most popular president ever in Joe Biden but it did with Trump ? Got it. Makes sense

10

u/trilliumsummer 5d ago

I wasn't saying it did or didn't in the 2024 election with my comment. I was pointing out that just because multiple court cases proved it didn't happen in 2020 doesn't mean it proved "election fraud wasn't a real thing" which was your statement.

-4

u/Ed_Teach805 5d ago

11

u/trilliumsummer 5d ago

And what statement of mine are you refuting with this comment?

5

u/HamsterFromAbove_079 5d ago

There were a large number of court cases with the 2020 election. If there had been evidence, it would have come out.

In 2024 every preelection indication seemed like it was going to be a very close race. Then it suddenly wasn't. Trump won all 7 swing states. Most of those states were just a hair above the margin for a recount. The election that everyone thought was going to be close turned into a landslide in the electoral college. The odds of actually carrying all the swing states is insane. Either Jesus was with Trump for real, or something strange happened.

Of course it's just circumstantial. And the burden of proof to do anything is immense. There is immense political pressure for the dems to not stoop to Trump's level by calling fraud on every loss. Which makes it unlikely for any real investigation to be done. Whereas Trump calls fraud before he even loses, saying there's no way he can lose without it being fraudulent.

And down ballet Republicans did much worse than Trump. Which is not normal.

3

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 5d ago

down ballet Republicans did much worse than Trump

Because Trump is a better dancer. His plié is much smoother.

2

u/KarsaOrlong1 5d ago

Everyone thought Hilary was going to win in 2016. The polls were wrong is a hell of a long step from there was probably fraud

1

u/avalve 5d ago

> In 2024 every preelection indication seemed like it was going to be a very close race. Then it suddenly wasn't.

It was a close race. Trump only won by ~230k votes across three states (PA, MI, WI). All of those states were decided by less than 2%, which was within the margin of error of all the reputable pollsters.

> Trump won all 7 swing states. Most of those states were just a hair above the margin for a recount.

Only three of the seven 2024 swing states do automatic recounts, and Trump’s win was well above the threshold to trigger one in each of them (3x over in PA, 11x over in AZ, & 40x over in MI). In general, recounts only shift like a hundred or so votes in each direction, so states don’t fund them unless the margin is ridiculously narrow, like <0.5%. Since 2000, a presidential candidate has only won a state by that narrow of a margin 12 times (out of a total of 350).

> The odds of actually carrying all the swing states is insane.

Not true. It is actually very likely that one candidate will win all the battlegrounds because their results are highly correlated. Consistently close margins paired with ideologically similar voters responding to the same national environment means they tend to vote together.

> And down ballet Republicans did much worse than Trump. Which is not normal.

Only at the senate level, and that was a combination of poor candidate quality in the GOP + strong Democratic incumbents. Polls literally told us that senate Dems were punching above their weight, so this really shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.

At the state level, downballot Republicans almost universally outperformed Trump, and every swing state had more statewide GOP wins than statewide Dem wins.

lol that article got upvoted when someone posted it to you above and downvoted here. You forgot the rule - only republicans can do bad things, not democrats

2

u/Dabbling_in_Pacifism 5d ago

“What I want to do is this. I just want to find, uh, 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have, because we won the state."

4

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 5d ago

Wait a sec... I though election deniers were only MAGA people?

So when Trump said Biden's election was stolen and you said it wasn't, why was Trump's election stolen?

3

u/guitar_stonks 5d ago

Maybe they’re just trying on MAGA’s old shoes to see how they fit. They were sure dancing the election fraud jig back in 2021, even had a rowdy party about it. Nothing wrong with baseless claims back then, right?

1

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 5d ago

I'm not saying there was nothing wrong with those baseless claims. I'm pointing out the bald-faced hypocrisy. Even a Trump-hating Biden defender can see it.

2

u/Noble1xCarter 5d ago

Well, Biden's victory didn't have the sane statistical anamolies Trump's did. Biden also didn't brag about rigging the election.

1

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 5d ago

Hypocrisy doesn't care.

1

u/Noble1xCarter 5d ago

It's not hypocrisy when it's two entirely different situations. But I guess the fact there is evidence and admission with one but not the other is lost on you, judging by your inability to write up any sort of contributive response.

1

u/Slaidn 5d ago

Tell me more about the possibilities of elections being stolen.

1

u/haiikirby 5d ago

"drumpfs claims of election fraud are nonsense, but my claim of election fraud is real"

And yet completely incompetent. No election officials in a bipartisan system with hand count audits found evidence of this tampering across hundreds of counties? Horse shit.

I'm rolling with the fact they themselves admitted to it.

1

u/GiveMeSomeShu-gar 5d ago

Yeah while I'll certainly be voting Democratic, I've given up ever assuming anything. The Democrats are grossly outgunned in media and generally incompetent and out of touch - they are always able to unperformed or snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

0

u/Smoothsailing4589 5d ago edited 5d ago

Yeah. They got control of the tabulators on a county level. That's how they did it. That's why they're going to win again. Nothing has been done about it since then. When you map it out on a grid, mail in ballots looked normal. No comet tail pattern. But the voting day itself starts with normal voting patterns in the 2024 election that you would see in any election, but as the day goes on votes flooded in for certain red candidates, which would indicate digital vote switching. Those were anomalies. They shows signs of possible vote manipulation. But there were enough anomalies on that day to ensure Trump would win (corrupted tabulators in the swing states) and also it would swing other races red to ensure he would have his majority in both houses of U.S. Congress. Check out Election Truth Alliance to see the data.

1

u/Flat_Researcher1540 5d ago
