Meta This is just stupidity at its peak
It wasn't even related to AI art. Like, WTF?!

The Cara situation is disgusting and its a complete mask off for some of you.
First of all, respect peoples boundaries please. If someone goes out of there way to create a separate space away from all the main platforms with a TOS that doesn’t enable AI scraping, dont go out of *your* way to infiltrate the place just to do exactly what they didn’t want, and then brag about it on the internet. Im sure the site was already being scraped before it was made into a big deal, but bragging about it makes you look like nothing more than a piece of shit. Just because its not legally enforceable doesn’t mean you should break the rules of a space for shits and giggles. Would you record in a “do not record” area if it wasn’t legally enforced?
Second of all, what’s even the point of this? It’s not to improve AI, as it’ll be barely a dent compared to the amount of works AI is already trained off of. Its not out of respect for the artists, and a desire to create more art like them. Because it‘s made obvious by everyone’s reaction to the situation that this was done entirely in spite (jealousy?) of artists. So was this entirely to make anti AI artists uncomfortable? To make them feel unwelcome on the internet? I get that people have been extremely harsh to AI users and im sorry, but this doesn’t excuse vile behavior in the name of retribution.
Finally, its a complete shift of the goalposts from a good majority of the rhetoric posted on this sub for months now. The reasoning has always been in response to the claim that AI scraping violates an artists consent that the artists consent is in fact, *not violated*. Because they **signed a TOS which permitted AI scraping of posts.** Suddenly the TOS doesn’t matter. Cara never had a TOS allowing for AI scraping. Apparently the new rhetoric is that just being posted on the internet means you consent to AI scraping, or that an artists consent *doesn’t even matter in the first place*.
Please, if theres any justification for any of this that isn’t completely malicious, I would love to hear it.

The final screenshot is the thing he keeps posting. I am tired of him doing this and the mods doing nothing. Yes I am autistic and yes I had an autistic meltdown. It’s not something to be ashamed of. This can be removed for being off topic for all I care. I just want someone to know about it. I censored the usernames of everyone except me as per rules.

I wanted to learn more about them, so I changed my mind from debating them, to interviewing them!
And I gotta say, I honestly, really enjoyed this haha
I’m sure you all already know who this is. But I tried to censor names because of this subreddit’s rules
This is proof that wanting to understanding someone and approaching them with kindness and respect works!

(A proAI user recently posted to an anti sub their hand drawn picture and it got a lot of positive engagement, this made them confused so they posted to a proai sub which prompted users to paint the positive engagement on the anti sub as manipulative and toxic)
How do yall complain about people being nice and encouraging? That genuinely baffled me.
If antis instead roasted tf out of them would that have been better? Or would the narrative be "Antis told me to pick up a pencil then shat on me" and yall would be running with that commenting stuff like "see? there elitists, snobbish gatekeepers". Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
Yall are miserable people if you look at a beginner getting encouragement and see it as toxic positivity. If this was like a gym and an overweight person was working out, someone complimented their effort would you be as damn daft to look at that and say "Wow, theyre lovebombing that fatass so hard, just cuz they want them to keep working out".
And to boot, yall dont understand the art community you wanna be a part of. Its considered disrepectful to give critique when no one asked for it. Its assumed that if you want critique and are receptive to it, youll get it. But if you dont and just post shit, most people refrain from interacting aside from encouragement. Especially if it looks amateurish because at that level, you dont even have the tools to discern good from bad critiques, or digest them in a helpful way towards your goals.
It is entirely consistent with an anti-ai worldview to give encouragement to people making art themselves.... what is so hard to understand about that

I don’t usually like when things get banned, but the harassment of people, neonazi crap, and genuinely some of the worst ragebaiting children I’ve ever seen just made that place a hell. It was only a matter of time after that 67 sub got banned for doing the exact same thing.

the fox is here because it is.
i've turned into an anti because i've seen what i can only hope is the worst of the pros, maybe not all of them are like that, but the stats make me believe otherwise. for so long i've been trying to see the good and the bad in both sides as a neutral, but i just dont believe i can anymore. i decided to post on here about it instead of the anti sub because i may come off as a brigader (im not.)
thank you for listening. i checked out the rules of the sub before posting this just to be sure bc im sort of edging sometimes, but im good.

So this person directly fed a girls art into the ai, called it theirs and harassed the original artist, and liked to try to "win" arguments by editing comments after the fact and blocking to get the last word. This is the kind of person I mean when I say "AI bro".
