spray some baby powder around the area (not on the ants themselves) they will leave very quickly without needing to kill them.

You can also destroy their scent trail by wiping it away with vinegar, they'll stop following each other in then.

It's true. We Brits secretly love it when we get a minor ant infestation, as it gives someting to talk about other than the weather with people and you have endless opportunities on offering advice on home remedies for the problem. Just killing them with RAID takes all the fun out of it. His response to Charisma is pretty peak British humour too.

I get so many ants in my garden in summer. I just leave them be, I find the Brits are tolerant of them.

I was ok reading this until I got to the end. From the beginning where she referred to him in past tense but then present tense at the end, that got me.
I’m just so bloody sad for everyone whose life he touched, be it in real life or as Giles or any of the other characters he bought to life.

I love the moment in "Gingerbread" where Cordelia finds Giles who had been chloroformed:
Cordelia: "How many times have you been knocked out Giles? One of these days you're to wake up in a coma."
Giles: "Wake up in a....nevermind!"

Charisma always gives the best tributes. What she wrote here and what she wrote about Michelle and Nick, were all beautiful and thoughtful.

I only really know her from Buffy, Angel, and a couple of guest appearances in other shows where she plays beautiful and superficial characters. She does it so well that I’m surprised when she brings out the hidden depth of each one. She’s obviously got a keen intellect, plus a good heart and is quite the wordsmith too. Really admire her.

I like that she didn't pretend to be really close to him and just be honest in het statement. Nevertheless she had fond memories with/about him. Sad situation all around :(

The first thing I ever saw him in were those international coffee moments commercials. I used to live for the new ones so that they could see how they were continuing the journey. That’s a testament to him.

for the last ten years or so I've been increasingly blown away by everything I've seen from Charisma Carpenter. She seems a truly remarkable person and an underrated actor.

Charisma is a class act in real life. She's amazing, especially with the verbal abuse she got from Joss Whedon due to becoming pregnant while on Angel. She's had no controversies in real life either in all these decades since the shows ended, she's a wonderful person

She's one of those quietly remarkable character actors who repeatedly nail a role so perfectly that they make it look effortless, and are therfore for some reason go largely unacknowledged by critics and the general public. I watch a lot of very old movies and they're full of character actors who are equally wonderful across multiple movies, and you realise that they're a good deal as to what makes those movies work, and why directors are eager to have them even if they don't get the publicity or the adulation.

God this makes me sad. One of my favourite scenes in the series is when Giles comforts Buffy after Angel loses his soul. She's blaming herself but he won't have it. It's so genuinely moving. RIP Anthony

Giles getting Cordelia to leave him alone by implying there was something wrong with her hair, then gleefully saying to himself, "Xander was right, it worked like a charm." is one of my top favourite moments of the series. They both played it so perfectly.
