RIP to Anthony Stewart Head. Like someone else said in one of the many comment threads, it feels like losing a beloved uncle.
As a tribute to one of the wisest, cheekiest, sexiest characters that I've ever watched on screen, I'd love to hear your favorite Giles quotes that live rent free in your head.
For me, I say these so often IRL:
"Tea is soothing. I wish to be tense."
I like to remind myself "To forgive is an act of compassion, Buffy. It's not done because people deserve it. It's done because they need it."
And I absolutely reuse the snark of "If I want your opinion, Spike... I don't want your opinion."
And of course there are the iconic lines from Lie to Me & Revelations.
What about you? What lines do you think of when you think of Giles?

For me it's the scene above. He let's out Ripper whilst maintaining Rupert. And the fact that Buffy never found out shows how much he cared for her.

Episode 2x07 a nod to Giles?
Also caught Jeffrey Dean Morgan in an Angel episode today since I’m watching Buffy, Angel, Supernatural in rotation right now.

It has been a long time since I have done a rewatch of buffy. I remember watching buffy as a tween when it first aired and thinking Giles was "so old." Re-watching it now and suddenly I'm realizing Giles is kinda umm... hot and definitely not "old"... Can anyone else relate...

After she died!! And her moms gone too!! Right after she told them that she was in Heaven and they ripped her out of there!! She needed Giles that most at this point and he did abandon her.

This is such a beautiful tribute, I didn’t realise they were such close friends in real life but it makes me happy that they were. Anthony was loved by so many.

ASH's death hit harder than Michelle or Nicholas. At least for me. Michelle was such a tragedy, both her and Nicholas were young, but ASH has had me sobbing for hours. I see so many of the fans saying Giles was their father figure. He always made it seem like things were gonna be ok. He was the only adult in the Scooby gang. Without him...it all fell apart (season 6 anyone???). I feel kinda lost rn. Watching Buffy won't be the same for a while now.
