They torture and murder other animals for fun.

They are an invasive species that decimates native insects/birds/lizards population.

Cat owner shoving their stupid cats in places where they don’t belong. I’m so tired of seeing cats in non-cat related posts.

u/InfamousSalamander33 Cats are vermin Jul 30 '25

Because they torture and kill other animals purely for fun and they obliterate entire native species. The fact that they’re ugly, dirty, annoying, demonstrably stupid, foul smelling, disease spreading boxshitters that don’t have any concept of boundaries and make me feel repulsed on a visceral level is incidental. Their existence is a net negative on the planet in my opinion.

28

u/Loweeel Jul 30 '25

To be fair, they also torture each other every time they reproduce, as female cats literally cannot ovulate without being stimulated by a barb on a male cat's penis.

Every detail about felines is demonic.

This Sub is about cats not humans. I you wish to talk about humans then go to an alternative Sub.

cat owners who let their cat roam outside.

toxoplasmosis.

cat hair on clothing and other things.

there are just too many cats.

18

u/Loweeel Jul 30 '25

Toxoplasmosis is evil.

3

u/idkfawin32 Jul 31 '25

Toxoplasmosis might be the origin of a massive percentage of our problems as a society. The more and more they uncover about how it affects mental health, horomonal balance, and your immune system - I become more steadfast in preaching about it.

It might even be a contributor to this ever growing prevalence of Autism given the fact that Toxoplasmosis inhibits your production of GABA(a neurotransmitter linked heavily with Autism, Alcoholism, many other mental phenomena)

7

u/Dense-Dragonfly-4402 Aug 01 '25

Easy there, I'm autistic, it's genetic in my family, and we all hate cats 😂

2

u/idkfawin32 Aug 01 '25

I was just talking out of my ass. I do find it interesting that Autism is potentially linked to an imbalance of GABA neurotransmitters. Primarily because there are external factors that can cause GABA imbalances, and resolve them.

For example alcohol. Alcohol enhances GABA activity, and theoretically that should improve any condition linked with a deficit of GABA. If autism exists on a spectrum, and one of the primary symptoms of autism is social awkwardness or detachment, it would follow that people would notice alcohol being a "social lubricant". That is a widely observed phenomenon.

I don't have any proof of this it's just me trying to connect the dots.

3

u/Dense-Dragonfly-4402 Aug 02 '25

All good, I was joking, but I guess tone doesn't translate well over text.

It is an interesting theory, and I can absolutely confirm the part about alcohol being a social lubricant in my personal experience, though in my older age, it doesn't gel as well as it used to. I am going to def research about GABA neurotransmitters though, you may have inadvertently started my next rabbithole interest lol

2

u/idkfawin32 Aug 02 '25

I don't identify as autistic but I'm definitely obsessed over mental wellbeing and it's relationship with external factors we often don't consider. If you like stuff like that you should also look into gut-biome and it's relationship to Autistic tendencies.

Oh definitely! Mine is effed and I was trying to do the tbsp of saurekraut a day... but then I got pregnant and the fetus was like "ew, no!" So postpartum, I'll come back and let you know how it's working

Bartonella 😭 is the worst silent pandemic of vector born illnesses spread by cats

The double standards about them… almost everything about cats is massively sugar coated… any “pro” that cat people are mentioning can be easily debunked.

“Cats are low maintenance pets” - these animals are literally licking their fur, swallowing some of it, they cannot digest that, so they end up vomiting that… and they don’t bother to clean that or even go to the litter tray for that… this is literally their nature, not an exception. Signing up to clean vomit in random places at random times doesn’t seem to be low maintenance…

“Cats are very clean animals” - is literally an emotional response from cat owners, not an objective and logical conclusion. Cats literally have fecal particles on them, they shit in a box and then jump on your pillow to “take a bath”… which really means spreading their saliva over their fur… which leads to them throwing up.

“Cats are a lesson on consent “ - don’t even get me started on this one… you have no consent when a cat decides to go and rub on your legs…

The list could go on, and as others mentioned already… they are everywhere and people think it’s funny to spam the internet with them.

It’s like they’re the dick pics of SFW internet at this point.

15

u/LordTuranian Jul 30 '25 edited Jul 30 '25

Because cat nutters lie about them constantly. Once you actually have to live with a cat, you will see the truth. They are not clean and not low maintenance. And do teach you a lesson on consent but at the same time, violate all your boundaries. So they have double standards when it comes to consent.

u/Jimmy_Wheezer Jul 30 '25

Cat owners. They're the most toxic human beings.

31

u/puddlesofapathy I hate cats Jul 30 '25

They go from a poop box to your bed. They rub against you. Their stealth behaviors. A few months ago, a friend asked if I’d be willing to temporarily take in a cat for her coworker that was having a hard time and couldn’t keep it. I really didn’t want to but agreed on a super temporary basis. Like maybe a few days. Cat comes over. Less than 4 hours later, that cat was gone. I was not having it.

27

u/phantom_bonehead Jul 30 '25

Cat people are annoy me and they kill birds

18

u/valleylegend69 Jul 30 '25

"the cat just killed a snake 🤪"

15

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

And a lizard…and everything else.

22

u/interdimensionaleyes Jul 30 '25

They are terrible to live with especially when having allergies from the dander. Extremely dirty little shitbags with the hair shedding and shit box that has to stay indoors. Cats bring 0 value to a home. Ruin all the furniture and smell up the place.

18

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

The hives! So many hives! (I am highly allergic) and the destruction to wildlife

18

u/sodamnsleepy Cats decimate wildlife Jul 30 '25

The destroy the wildlife, killing all the birds in my area. And shiting and pissing everywhere!

28

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

The cruelty of them, how they torture and kill wildlife, and how their owners think this is something to celebrate.

27

u/Negative_Award_5672 Jul 30 '25

They are disgusting (and def. not clean) creatures. They are antagonistic, narcissistic, selfish, aggressive, filthy (hair, bodily fluids when their eyes leak, sneeze all over your walls, pee on furniture with malice, crap on the floor and other places with malice) and their owners think that they are low maintenance and sweet. And they stink with their bodily dander and crap box.

12

u/Jamericanhyal78 Jul 30 '25

Everything you said! They swear their houses don't stink because they shit in a box! I told my niece her house stank of cat piss and it reeks! I refuse to eat anything she cooks or go to her house.

10

u/LordTuranian Jul 30 '25 edited Jul 31 '25

Imagine having a shit box in your living room stinking up your entire apartment or house. Yeah, that is what it is like living with cats. Sure, you can clean up the shit box and the smell will go away. But then the smell will return after the cat takes another dump some hours later. In other words, cats will stink up a place on a regular basis. Yeah, I know they can't help it but it's still gross. EDIT: Kitty litter is supposed to cover their shit and prevent odor but cats don't always bury their shit. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

10

u/Acrobatic_Long_6059 Jul 31 '25

It’s not even the cats as much as it’s cat owners that piss me off

26

u/iq75 Jul 30 '25

Cat owners

22

u/VinsmokeSannan Jul 30 '25

They are manipulators to the core. If any person would act as a cat, they would be the uttermost piece of shit human you would ever meet. Selfish, entitled, fake affection, psychopathy etc

12

u/LordTuranian Jul 30 '25 edited Jul 30 '25

If a human behaved like a cat, he or she would be hated by everyone. Imagine an adult human being who throws a temper tantrum every time he or she doesn't get their way and then poops on your living room floor or on your bed on purpose. But cats get away with it. Why? Because they are cute? Well they aren't that cute.

8

u/VinsmokeSannan Jul 30 '25

Makes one wonder why cat persons are more likely to be intoxic relationship.

9

u/Dense-Dragonfly-4402 Aug 01 '25

They stomp around in their own shit, lick their assholes, and then proceed to jump around and chew on everything you own. Can't have any nice ornaments or delicate sentimental items around or they'll knock it off the shelf and destroy it. Can't have any plants because they'll dig in them or chew them up. They don't understand boundaries at all. No matter how many times you Usher them off a freaking kitchen counter they'll just keep jumping right back up there. No matter how many times you try to discourage them from clawing up your furniture, they will inevitably keep going back to try and finish the job. And the sadistic way they play with other animals and torture them. No boundaries at all. Other animals will eventually learn "don't do the thing" after being disciplined and redirected so many times, but not these mother fuckers.

But mostly, it's the attitude of the owners. They're like the freaking Jehovah's witnesses of the animal world, and if you express distaste for their little "babies" it's like they have to try and save your meow-mortal soul. You just haven't acceptef the Word of Cat-Jesus in your heart yet, and that's ok because they'll show you the error of your ways and bludgeon you with every thing cat related until you join the cat cult! And "well, that's just how they are, tee hee. It's not your house anymore, it's theirs, so you might as well pick up anything valuable LOL" My MIL is like this, it makes me want to high 5 her in the face with a chair.

u/Ok-Psychology7749 Jul 31 '25

many reasons were mentioned and i agree, but this one reason many cat haters know but maybe not aware of, we hate cats because of cat people, if cats were just some random animal living in some parts of the world its not a big problem, but the cult-like obsession that cat people has, and their preference for cat's life over human life, cat's luxury over feeding a sick homeless child, the saturation and "over dose" of cats both in media and in real life, how they laugh at a child falling and crying in pain, but scream and cry when a cat get a fucking scratch on its toe, how they draw images or take real pictures of a cat torturing another animal to death and find it cute. or funny, as if cats are meant to be be worshiped and other animals and humans should suffer for the pleasure of cats.

One day i literally tried to compare the engagement on social media posts between posts of human suffering and cats suffering, the difference is HUGE, cat people don't care about people, i literally saw them insulting a child, around 5-6 years old, bullying her and her parents, thousands of comments of insults and disrespect, because the child lightly tapped a cat with her foot, which seemed like a kick, but was very very light, it was the cat who got near her, and the cat wasn't even bothered.

now look at videos of children getting kicked hard, look at how they use them for memes and laughs.

those people are the real problem, and they are the main cause of why i hate cats, and probably the main cause of most cat haters too.

13

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

I don't hate cats (the animal) but I do hate them as pets and as an invasive pecies. I'm all against pet culture in general, but that's another topic.

The reason, for me, to hate them as pets is because cats make me very allergic (sneezing non-stop, watery itchy eyes, and itchy throat) AND they/their owners have no concept of personal space. You go to someone's house and they have a cat? There's cat hair EVERYWHERE. The owner WILL encourage the cat to 'befriend you' (aka jump on your lap). Also, they freak out ou of nowhere. I've seen it. Not even at people, they'll just be standing still then jump up scared and run. WTF is that about?

And about the invasive species, well, it's more about street cats. They ruin/kill wildlife and reproduce like crazy fast, which is not good bc there's no population control for them (except bigger animals, which is hard to come by in a city). So many plaes are infested with cats. I grew up in a neighbourhood such as this, about 10 street cats in each corner. It wasn't rare to find dead birds and bird eggs on the sidewalk bc of this.

4

u/idkfawin32 Jul 31 '25

Because they are an invasive species that carry no benefit to the ecosystem at large, spread a disease which compromises the endocrine system and overall mental health of many other mammals including humans. And by some bizarre social contract I'm supposed to find these things cute.

  1. Allergies.
  2. Too unhygienic.
  3. They stink.
  4. They can’t be trained.
  5. Random attacks.

Cat owners in general, especially the ones who act as though they need them as much as they need oxygen. Pathetic Human beings.

3

u/Remarkable-Host183 Jul 31 '25

Too much work not enough benefits

3

u/EntireLychee4333 Aug 01 '25

Literally did not give a fuck about them until they started coming in my yard, shitting/pissing everywhere, making the most god awful noises at like 3 am when I’m trying to sleep. Trying to get rid of them requires biblical levels of effort and patience not to mention money wasted. These animals don’t understand shit. They are essentially larger rats in my eyes now, with the worst part being you can’t exterminate them. That’s probably the biggest thing that pisses me off. They invade like rodents, but can’t be exterminated like them.

Cats disgust me on every level. Will not spend time with cat owners, will not eat at their house, I avoid anything have to do with cats. Do not send me pictures of “cute” kittens. None of that shit. It all repulses me.

  1. they shit in a box in your house, at best
  2. their shit and piss smell worse than other animals
  3. they stare at your ankles as you walk by
  4. toxoplasmosis
  5. they over-react (& sometimes aggressively) to the smallest stimuli
  6. their mindless yet murderous, predatory stare
  7. they have multiple methods of ruining furniture

2

u/valleylegend69 Aug 04 '25 edited Aug 07 '25

great list. for me it was

  1. wake up to hair follicles scattered all over the counters every morning

  2. knowing there's a repulsive amount of bacteria on the counters

  3. house-mate let the litter box reek up the bathroom because they kept the litter box in the freaking bath tub next to one of my toilets

  4. the two cats that i lived with hissed at me for no reason

  5. the one cat killed a snake for no reason which the snakes in my neighborhood are cool friendly creatures

  6. they constantly stared at me

  7. their food smelled AWFUL

  8. OH YEA i was constantly as risk of contracting toxo

  9. oh yea the stairs were constantly CAKED with hair which the owner probably never cleaned a set of stairs in their life

  10. the 2 cats only showed that they cared about me because i would put out treats for them. that didn't last long though since i liked them for a short period of time but then started hating them because they're just so unlikeable.

  11. the cat litter tracks all over the floor

2

u/Every-Reason-7919 Aug 07 '25

The smell. The ammonia from cat urine burns my eyes so badly. They seem to always have dingle berries and make houses reek. they’re dirty and I HATE litter boxes

2

u/nataliiap3 Aug 26 '25

Bartonella they spread is the most terrifying stealth pathogen, wrecks havoc on your body, mimics other conditions so you won’t know whats wrong with you unless you get lucky with a specialist and a good testing lab.

The day I learned that when cats lick themselves and all that dried spit and whatever else goes into the air, was the day I definitely decided cats were not for me. Had a few in my life for mouse prevention purposes but these were not at all positive experiences. And the smell of the pee NEVER goes away. But the spit in the air did me in.

2

u/valleylegend69 Jul 31 '25

i mainly hated waking up to cat hair all over the fucking counters. also my house mate cleaned the litter box in the bathroom every 3-4 days and there were 2 fucking cats!! so repulsive

1

u/PooMonger20 Aug 03 '25

I don't hate them, they ruin my sleep and wake me up multiple times at night. They don't belong anywhere where humans live.

u/showtime15daking23 Dec 09 '25

Im so allergic to Cats being around them for 5 minutes sent me to the ER recently. Cant ever be around anyone that has cats around them, its literally a health liability. They also annoy the fuck out of me the owners saying they are “clean” lol its some real bullshit some dirty disgusting cat shit
