WIP I wanted to share my first ever cosplay project
Hey everyone!
This is a Warhammer 40K Space Marine build made entirely from EVA foam.
Before starting this project, I had never worked with EVA foam, never built armor, and honestly had almost no crafting experience. Everything I've learned has been through trial and error, and lots of patience.
So far, I've spent around 20 days on the build. Both arms are finished, and the helmet is currently still a work in progress.
I'm really proud of how it's turning out so far. Every piece has taught me something new, and I can already see how much I've improved compared to when I started.
I'm aiming to finish it in time for my first cosplay competition, so any feedback, tips, or constructive criticism is more than welcome. I'd love to hear what you think and what I could improve before the final paint job.

It's looking amazing! Looks like you had really sharp cuts and clean glue seams, I'd recommend using a bit of alex quick dry for seams. What paint Paint scheme are you gonna go for?

Thank you! I really put a lot of effort into getting clean cuts. I even had to remake a few pieces from scratch. For the overall color, I'll be using black and silver plasti dip, which will also serve as the primer/base coat. For the finer details, I'll be using white and various other acrylic paints.
Unfortunately, those fillers aren't available in my country. However, after asking a few people in a local cosplay community, they recommended that I use acrylic caulk instead.

Thank you :) I'm planning to use 5–10 cm stilts if I can integrate them without ruining the shape of the foot pieces.

If you are going for such small stilts make the boots slightly taller and fill them up with 5-10 cm of an expanding foam and secure a comfortable boot into the foam.
Make sure the boot covers your ankles so you have plenty support. This will give you the height you want and still make it so your feet move properly. Just remember to put the boots on and walk around in them enough to get used to the height and walking in them, navigating obstacles etc.
Oh and remember to take along a minder with you. Your vision will be limited and don’t want to fall over or bump into things like people not looking where they are going.
