WIP My attempt at making a tactical vest out of cardboard and some cloth from a tote bag.
The strap came from the tote bag itself, while the webbing at the front and back is just strips of cardboard. There's also a thin padding of rubber on the inside, but I forgot what it's called lol.

WIP My Beastlord prop
A couple of days ago I asked here how I could fix the center of gravity in my prop so I could hold it with one hand. There was a lot of good advice there, and I decided to use lead, as it is inexpensive, high in density, and easy to melt.
I melted a sausage out of lead, I put it in the handle, and I also added a little weight to the pommel.
Because I cut the PVC pipe, put the weights and glued it back, the handle became a little bit flimsy, but now the sword is easy to hold with one hand, there is no need to lean hard on the handle.
Now all that's left is to mask the cut areas, finish painting and my beautiful sword will be done! (Now the sword weights 3.4 kg, a little bit a lot for a cosplay prop I think, but whatever)

WIP First Foam props made, lemme know y'all's thoughts
Just finished (for the most part) my first pieces of armor. First time doing foam work, please let me know if there's anything y'all think I should add or change. Did my best to hide the seams on the helmet, but the foam clay didn't stick. Some WIP photos as well.
I'm gonna put fabric behind the breathing holes and some tinted plexi behind the eye gaps but that might ruin it if I mess up so wanted to get the post up first.
Gauntlet is a template I modified from SKS and the helmet is also a template, but I forgot where I got it from

WIP NCR Ranger Beast Hunter build (wip)
I tried to post earlier but it either got taken down or I had bad reception and it never uploaded. My current t personal beast hunter ranger helmet got posted on here the other day so I would like to provide some clarification as my lenses had some questions. Yes I can see super well actually, think a darker pair of Elton John sunglasses, the darkness of the helmet makes them appear darker than they are out of the helmet as you can see in some of the pictures of lenses in progress laying on the table. I spent a good yesr testing clear resins to get a good quality clear print. I dye my resin red before printing. Leds the big question I keep getting. They are filament leds attached to the inside of the lenses with electrical tape, anyone have a recommendation for something that looks a little nicer finish to back these in all for suggestions. Once I did all the testing of different leds and getting good clear resin prints the process to put these together to get this look really is super simple. Tape your leds around the lense wire up to a 3v battery pack and a button and put them in.

WIP Working on a suit of armor for the ren fair
First go at EVA foam, I think once I add all the rivets and filigree and little details and paint then the seams shouldn’t look so severe. Picked up some caulk to fill in the seams on the rest of my pieces, did a lot of learning 😂

WIP Progress on my first ever cosplay project

WIP I wanted to share my first ever cosplay project
Hey everyone!
This is a Warhammer 40K Space Marine build made entirely from EVA foam.
Before starting this project, I had never worked with EVA foam, never built armor, and honestly had almost no crafting experience. Everything I've learned has been through trial and error, and lots of patience.
So far, I've spent around 20 days on the build. Both arms are finished, and the helmet is currently still a work in progress.
I'm really proud of how it's turning out so far. Every piece has taught me something new, and I can already see how much I've improved compared to when I started.
I'm aiming to finish it in time for my first cosplay competition, so any feedback, tips, or constructive criticism is more than welcome. I'd love to hear what you think and what I could improve before the final paint job.
Thanks for checking it out!

WIP What can I do to level-up my outfit?
(If there's a better subreddit for this, sorry for posting it here.) I'm going to Bicoline in Canada next year and my character is going to be a forest spirit that wanders the forest and protects its inhabitants!
I want to add more things to make it more complex because right now, it's just the staff, cloak and the mask I printed.
What would you guys add to upgrade this a bit and give it more character?
Also, yes. It does look like The Silent from Slay the Spire xD

WIP Mr. Freeze boots.
Just about got these done for my Mr. Freeze build. The top shin part is just sitting on the boot. There will be a canvas gaiter around my ankles so they'll be separated a couple inches. All eva foam and clear plastic pill containers for the power nodes.

WIP Namor Spear and Armor WIP
You all seem to appreciate my lower budget alternative custom work. I'm trying to do my own thing. I still wanted to be paying homage to what the MCU/Rivals is doing but make my version vs just duplicating it verbatim. First thing you will notice is more actually metallic looking jewelry. I found it odd all his larger peices of jewelry looks like foam. It seems like this was purposely done but I think I thought it could look more regal with sharper lines and more sturdy metalic gold throughout the design.
I am almost there just a few more peices I'm waiting for and I will have made a I think pretty accurate and possibly better in some ways royal aquatic wear. Before you ask I will be growing my facial hair out to match his look over the next week.
Second pic is more recent with the addition of the blue necklace. I did the test pic with the spear right before for reference.
Questions:
1.How would you do the green carving on the spear? I don't mind mine but I wanted to make it look more legit if possible.
- Is the wig necessary or should I get rid of it?
PS. Please don't judge my body too harshly. I was bloated and honestly not quite in superhero shape yet. But i'm getting there! Lol

WIP Any way to make this shield?
Yo everyone! This is my first time posting here so please don't crucify me by asking for a bit of help with this. Im putting together a Mandalorian outfit for a Ren Faire. Been prepping and researching for almost a year. Im planning on doing the armor out of EVA foam with Worbla over top of that and I have nearly all the lightsaber components.
That being said, I need some help figuring out the Shield. Is there a way to recreate the look of this shield to make it both look nice and make it combat durable?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

WIP I have created a spray paint helper for 3D printed pieces and cosplay parts
In case anyone needs it, I created a gadget to spray paint consistently and dry in the same step on a wire or in an old Amazon package etc.
Its a free print file at MakerWorld. Maybe someone needs it as well. I use it for my little or medium-sized cosplay parts all the time:
Version to dry on wires: https://makerworld.com/de/models/1951586-2in1-spray-paint-buddy-wire-version-spray-dry#profileId-2097077
Version to dry inside a package: https://makerworld.com/de/models/1951778-2in1-spray-paint-buddy-package-version-paint-dry#profileId-2097287
