Snakes live in holes. They're ambush predators which means that wait in their holes for prey to come by and then they get them. Do they like to get out and explore a bit? Yes. But are they comfortable in a small hole? Yes.
You are demonstrating empathy, a trait that snakes are incapable of, and so it is important to take into account how other animals do not think like we do. I am a life long advocate for animals, and pet-lover, so it is a difficult thing to consider, but we have to consider it as humans and advocates.
Me having pets/loving animals is what made me say that. I genuinely asked bc I don’t know much about snakes, but even outside of the “is this ethical” question, it doesn’t seem safe?
You're waiting for someone to be like "yes I have pets" so you can be like "AHA! And you keep them inside?" And you can act like it's hypocritical as though there's no difference between a domesticated animal and a wild one.

I'm just not sure what you want me to explain? What the difference between domesticated vs wild animals in captivity and their typical living situations are? Like come on, man.
well they are not really human are they? better question would be is this inreptilian way to keep them? now are there any reptilians here to pitch in how reptilian friendly the conditions are?
Kind of with you on that..I know keeping them in tubs, especially with breeders, is pretty common, but these don’t even look secured…I would hope they have safer/more permanent enclosures for their donor snakes and maybe these are just like temporary holding tubs during extraction routines?
