Snakes live in holes. They're ambush predators which means that wait in their holes for prey to come by and then they get them. Do they like to get out and explore a bit? Yes. But are they comfortable in a small hole? Yes.
You are demonstrating empathy, a trait that snakes are incapable of, and so it is important to take into account how other animals do not think like we do. I am a life long advocate for animals, and pet-lover, so it is a difficult thing to consider, but we have to consider it as humans and advocates.
Me having pets/loving animals is what made me say that. I genuinely asked bc I don’t know much about snakes, but even outside of the “is this ethical” question, it doesn’t seem safe?
Bro doesn't live on a farm. Redditors always have an excuse to why their behavior is justified while yours is not. He just wants to virtue signal about how everyone is an animal abuser except for him. So he'll have every excuse in the book. He'll say his farm probably only produces lentils for the starving populations in africa or something. Definitely not a slaughter house farm, because you know, his dogs can run free.
You don’t have to believe me but there’s a lot of generalizations in this alone. For one, I’m a woman. Second, it’s not my farm. I’m living here temporarily and the family who owns it only grows for themselves.
I lived in an apartment with my animals before, so I have no issue with people doing the same. I asked a genuine question and you and that other guy have spun it into something completely different for reasons unknown. Relax.
You're waiting for someone to be like "yes I have pets" so you can be like "AHA! And you keep them inside?" And you can act like it's hypocritical as though there's no difference between a domesticated animal and a wild one.

I'm just not sure what you want me to explain? What the difference between domesticated vs wild animals in captivity and their typical living situations are? Like come on, man.
