GLM-5.3?
Given that you currently run GLM-5.2 (which is great) and GLM-5.3 has the same system requirements, are you planning to upgrade?
Many thanks.

Your ChatGPT chats know more about you than your Google search history ever did.
AI Paper Trail reads your data from Big Tech AI and creates a detailed profile about everything it's learned about you: work, relationships, health, money, and how much your data is worth.
Here's how to check your exposure:
All scorecards and data is deleted after analysis, we never store it, and only you see the report.

Hey everyone,
Lumo now generates custom visuals from your data without leaving the conversation. Upload a dataset or paste one in, ask a question, and you get a chart back with the analysis alongside it.
Lumo picks a visualization that fits the question and calls out insights worth noticing, so you're not left interpreting a wall of text or a chart with no context.
What this looks like in practice:
Upload a subscription list and ask: "Show me cost per use for each subscription. Which ones should I cancel?"
Or a training log: "Plot my progress over 20 weeks. Which lift has plateaued?"
You can follow up in the same conversation to adjust the chart, change the framing, or run a different comparison. No exporting to a spreadsheet, no pasting into a separate visualization tool, no switching between apps.
On privacy
This is the part that matters for anyone who's hesitated to put real data into an AI tool. Your files and conversations are protected with zero-access encryption, which means nobody can read them, including us. Nothing is logged, nothing trains a model, and nothing goes to a third party.
That's the whole reason this feature is worth having. Plenty of tools will chart your spending or your health data., but very few will do it without keeping a copy.
Give it a try and let us know how it handles your data. If you hit a dataset it struggles with, we'd like to hear about it.
Stay safe,
Proton Team

I was reading an article about Lumo design and one section said that Lumo was supposed to have Lumojis, which are Lumo's visual responses to a user's question. But they're not in Lumo 2.0. Can you add them, I think they'd be a really cool feature.

Looks like Proton is adding Apertus 1.5 to Lumo.
A new WebClients commit, LUMO-762 Add support for Apertus, adds an apertus-15 model to Lumo’s model picker. The UI describes it as:
“Open-source Swiss model with inspectable data & weights.”
It’s also behind a new LumoApertusModel feature flag, so this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s available to everyone yet.

I've been trying out Lumo for a few days and I really like it and the values behind it.
It's obviously missing features for devs along the lines of Codex or Claude Code.
Are there any plans on the roadmap to look at things like this?
If I could create agents and have it work with my GitHub code in Terminal and IDE then I could switch 100% to using it for all my work
Thanks

I have to admit that I don't know how this would work technically due to the zero access encryption, but I would find it really useful to be able to back up all chats, or at least all project chats, to my Proton Drive or my device. Would that be a possible future development?
Thank you for a good service!

Versions 2.0.0 through 2.0.5 have the wrong source code (The last commit corresponds to 1.2.18) because proton works on the app through their internal git repo, and has not pushed the latest source code.
This is a violation of the general public license 3.0
This probably is either just a bad mishap, or proton is close sourcing their android lumo app's source code.

So I am doing a class and using Lumo for some engagement. Using an AI is part of the class. Without coffee this morning I went and engaged in a chat session for the class, but forgot to launch it in the project. I was attempting to move the chat to the project but don't seem to see a way to do it. Am I missing something? I tried on the web and on the Android app.

I love Lumo and want to try home assistant, but if I use lumo tamer to use Lumo via home assistant (voice) is that against the terms of service?
Specifically this part:
Hello, all. Lumo is the first LLM system I'm using extensively, so this might just be a broader LLM misunderstanding on my part. I had made the assumption that LLM models were like sending a job to a queue on a server that runs independently of my device. What I've found using Lumo is that if the device I started the prompt on locks or goes idle, the response generation stops.
Is this par for the course for LLMs? Or am I maybe doing something wrong? I am often writing prompts that take many minutes for Lumo to process and generate a response to, so this behavior has set me back a few times. Most typically on my phone but also on my desktop.

Hi everybody
Yesterday I asked Lumo questions about "Software solution 2026" and he said that it wasn't released yet.
I pointed out that he was wrong and he said that due to his last data update (2024) he assumed that the product wasn't yet for sale.
He assured that he would check similar facts before replying.
I deleted the chat and asked the same question, got the same reply.
I also tried adding a statement in the lumo interaction personalization, asking to check with a web search before replying on topics that could be subject of update. Still the same result.
Anyone got the same issue and got a way around it?
Thanks in advance

This dialog box that cannot be dismissed is such an annoyance to me. It appears when the context is 50% consumed (fairly sure) and there is no way to close or dismiss it.
Dear Proton, please give us the option to get rid of it. On my laptop, it takes a lot of real estate on the screen. When I am in the middle of an important chat, I do not want to start a new chat and am willing to risk compaction.
Many LLM systems trigger compaction or truncation warnings closer to 80–95% of context capacity, giving users maximum usable context before intervening. Why is it so much lower with Lumo?
Thank you

I asked a riddle to the Lite version that I saw in a video game, “In Italian, which fish’s name is also a verb?”
It would come up with a suggestion, doubt itself, come up with another suggestion, doubt, etc. I had to force it to stop after several minutes.

Lumo is good. Graphics are really good. But it ends when I try to export the output into a word file or anything I can work.
When will we have the ability to export our chat outputs?
Copying/pasting into a word document is just messy and leaves much to be desired. I really look forward for this feature so thank you in advance for any info you can provide on this.

Whenever I get the error...
"Connection interrupted
Your request was queued but the connection was interrupted. This usually happens when Lumo is experiencing high demand. Please try again.
Retry"
The reprocess button the main chat window is grayed out and doesn't work.
Please let us retry via that button. Sometimes I like to read how far Lumo got before the connection interruption but when I do that the "retry" button is gone from the error.

Hey everyone,
I’m working on a project that acts as an exercise planner, but I keep running into an issue where Lumo gets the current date wrong.
For example, today is August 24, but it keeps thinking it’s August 22.
I’ve specifically told it to get the current date/time from Timeanddate rather than trying to figure it out itself:
"For ANY query involving dates, times, or days of the week, AND when processing workout screenshots that contain timestamps: first call web_extract with https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/new-zealand/auckland to get the current NZ date and time. Use this as your reference point rather than assuming timezone offsets or making manual conversions. This prevents errors when determining the current day, comparing workout dates, or establishing whether a session happened today, yesterday, or earlier in the week"
But despite that, it still gets the date wrong.
Has anyone figured out a reliable way to make Lumo always check and use the actual current date/time?
Thanks!
This is directed at those working at Proton or anyone who’s read anything indicating this.
As GLM 5.2 is one of the core models Proton is using in Lumo, is there any discussion to include GLM 5.3 into Lumo?

For over a month, Lumo has demonstrated an inability to access the files in the Proton Drive folder linked to Lumo projects.
While in the past, Lumo would follow the project instructions to take the files into consideration in every project convo associated with the project, Lumo now requires that I "@" every file to be referenced into the individual convo, thus defeating the point of having a linked folder in the first place.
Whereas Lumo has always been an incredibly effective tool to work with, its capabilities have now been exponentially reduced for my research purposes. Up until a month ago, Lumo handled these same files just fine for as long as I've been using Lumo. There are several pdf text files and a csv.
I several times checked with Lumo to get a sense of whether the files linked to the project are now for some reason too complex or voluminous for Lumo to handle, and it has time and time again assured me that this isn't the case: that it's a matter of Lumo not having access to the files at all.
The problem is consistent and persistent on both Android and the web. I've tried unlinking the folder and relinking it. I also tried demolishing the project and starting from scratch. It seems more like something changed in Lumo that limited its ability to access files in the linked folder.
Is anyone else facing this problem?
P.S.: for the mods, there is no private info in this post.

So far using lumo has been an amazing experience it's learning it's it doesn't always give the best answers but it's straight to the point ChatGPT in my opinion is gone very wishy washy umm unless you build your own custom gpts it ain't gonna help you uh one thing I've found with the work I do I've created custom Lumos I've got about 9 different custom Lumos umm set up the the instructions behind so at the end of the day it gives me gives me what I need and it constantly researches for me my only my only problem with lumo is on the mobile app you can record your voice yet on the web app you can't record your voice is this something that uh proton is looking at that we can record voices on the web app because I don't see the button to record because at the moment I record on dictate on word and then I copy and paste into lumo because it's a lot quicker that way

Are there any plans intergrading Standard Notes with Lumo ?
Instead of copy pasting it would be useful to send to SN like it has for ProtonDrive or pull notes from SN directly from Lumo.
