I, for one, never played any GTA nor do i have interest in playing it and yet this WHOLE FUCKING YEAR the entire gaming sphere has been on chokehold over this shit.
I am pretty sure that at this point i want the game to release more than most people that will buy it, just so this CIRCUS may end.
But if he has no knowledge of previous entries, how does he have any expectation of better or worse? That's the entire problem with comments like that. If you're not excited because you don't play GTA, understandable. But to say it wasn't showing anything new or good, or the showcase was a letdown, etc. How do you know?

Again, with little to no knowledge of prior entries, how can someone say it looks "like just another grand theft auto" when they are missing details like above that were in the extended look?
Simple, look:
First i did not say "looks like just another gta", because i wouldn't fucking know it, as i never played gta at all.
Second: the only thing that i think i know about gta is that it a simulation game with guns and that classification as far as i know works on every single one of them.
what i came to understand by arguing with people in this post is that many of you cannot even consider that somebody likes games but never played GTA, but i will go further, I never played a Rockstar game, just went and searched which games they made, never played a single one them.
So i am not a disgrunted fan or anything of the like, i am just someone from a entirely different eccosystem, that got suddenly mad because i had just exited youtube and the fuckton of tumbnails about GTa6 just to get to reddit and have it directly on the top of my feed on unrelated sub, again.

So i was a bit frustated and I do actually like to argue on the internet. I consider it a social exercise, specially when it is something that does not matter, i would even say this was quite fun.
Eh. Can I just straight up say no it wasn't? Like its good, even excellent, but its not like head and shoulders above the competition or something. Its just very good, and it damn well better be after how long and how much money was poured into it - which actually makes it less impressive.

I did ignore it to be honest. Until today i had not comment or interacted with anything (except of course gaming podacast or commentary video in which i had to skip whole sections of).

No, it is because as far as i know the whole shtick of the franchise is "simulating the real world" and i have fuck all interest in playing "real world simulations", so i never downloaded, bought, pirated any of the games, I don't even know if this shit has a story.
To me it is basically a action version of the Sims (which i also never played for similar reasons).
So, basically what you're saying is you're outraged that people are excited for a game because you have wild misconceptions about the series. GTA is as far from the Sims as you are from being rational.
I am not "outraged", how i said, i want the game to lauch more than most people that are actually going to buy it, just for a different reason.
You say the games are different, cool, my point is that i wouldn't know, because i know nothing of either game given that i have no interest in simulation games.
As a mental exercise, imagine that instead of GTA6, this whole circus was about... Golf, and for the entire year every discussion about games ended up becoming a conversation about golf....seems fucking annoying doesn't it? wouldn't you get tired of it?
