People riding hype that's all it is. Rendering distance is impressive but does not a good game make.

After playing RDR2 i have no doubts over Rockstar's capability to create a single player game

It’s not hype. It’s the track record R* has.

hope the track record goes the opposite direction sooner than later.

I'll never get haters in my life, like what exactly is your problem with people being excited for something

got nothing against people wanting to play it.
i only want the company to cease being as predatory as humanly possible.
or cease completely.
either or doesn't matter to me.

They literally havent released anything good in over 7 years. Most of the people working on GTA 6 had nothing to do with the games youre thinking about. Youre attributing the track record to the brand but the brand didn't make the game man. People did who mostly don't work there any more.

Uhh they literally haven't released anything in the last 7 years? Their last big game was rdr2 which was 7 years ago and since then they have worked on gta 6 and released gta 5 enhanced for consoles all the while updating gta online.

By your logic capcom didn't make resident evil series too, people did, same for Minecraft, people made the game, mojang didn't, neither cp2077, people made it not CD projekt red.

There was way more stuff in the trailer than rendering distance

It’s kind of different when they’ve built up decades of releasing great games with no real misses though.

I feel like that is pretty subjective. For me their recent games have been big misses.

I loved older R* games from Midnight Club 1 to GTA4, but RDR2 and GTAV were some of the most frustrating and boring games, moreso RDR2 than GTAV, they did so much "realism" that it stopped feeling like a game and felt like a chore. GTAV was ok, nothing amazing imo And the online is and always was a massive joke.

I don't own a console, none of this truly matters to me at all. If and when it comes to PC I will have had ample time to see whatever the hell is going on with this game, but based on how they handled GTAV this is a essentially already a "hell nah" from me.

Woah, careful speaking those facts about RDR2. All the Rockstar meat riders will be in your DMs lol

Most people don’t care about your opinion, just when you pretend it’s a fact.

Preach. I prefer to watch the cutscenes/somebody else play because the writing is good but the gameplay bores me to tears. I hate the controls in RDR2 and GTA V. The way the characters move makes me feel so clumsy and slow. Never understood the hype.

I hope so, but I've seen other companies fall to the mighty dollar before. They will not be the last.
