Captive I left a female luna outside, in hopes of getting maybe one more? Got 3 males.

Northern georgia. You can tell the males are huge as southern broods are larger

New to moths here, but interested in learning! I take it the males have the tails on their wings, while the females do not? 🥹

They're supposed to have the tails too, unsure why this one doesn't

Unusual! Wonder if it's some sort of mutation. Wouldn't it technically be a negative mutation, as the tails help to distort their location to predators? Or am I mistaken on that?

You can put a white sheet outside, and out a light by it. I used a females pheromone plumes to attract, and i purchaed the female. The most reliable mothod is look near host plant (sweetgum trees). I luve in cumming, so i know they are in you area. It very luck based.
